Wonderful stay! Great location and well appointed accommodation.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean. Location was perfect - didn't use our car once we arrived (kept it safely in their covered parking).

Our apartment looked on to an adjacent building. That is a bit of a shame in such a stunningly beautiful mountain environmnet.

Location! Comfortable and everything we needed for our stay. We had a double room which had a balcony and the views were just amazing!

The only thing we didn’t like was that it was very noisy. You can hear everything inside the hotel.

Perfectly located on village main street and surrounded by local restaurants. Bus stop directly in front of building. Rooms are freshly renovated offering all necessary comfort to relax after days out in the Eiger, Jungfrau region. Helpful friendly staff!

Breakfast was the best. Good value for the onsite restaurant. Best view of Matterhorn from balcony if you are at top floor.

Charming Chalet or a Hotel? This is what haunts me after the trip.

Set in the centre of the village with a lovely balcony with geraniums in full bloom. Have a cup of tea and just watch as the street below fills up with tourists chatting happily on their way to another day of enjoyment. Or gaze up between the trees for a view of the Bernese alps. Nothing more you could want for... Time to join the crowd.

The perfect location

The hotel is in the best location of the city ... just in the middle of the center. If you want to enjoy the city this is the place to stay as it even offer a parking place.

Everything was good but price is quite high for the hotel level. Having say this the location justify the price and I think it's the standards for such a location.

Good location and staff, but overpriced for worn rooms and street noise

Great location just 5 minutes from the Grindelwald Railway Station, friendly staff, secure luggage storage before check-in. Rooms were large, sockets near the beds, breakfast was high quality with great variety, a nice start for exploring the region.

The price feels high for the value and experience if you take away the fact that it's Grindelwald. Bathroom had chipped paint and visible mold, which should not happen in this price range. Street noise from nearby parties can also be disturbing.

Great stay for exploring the area! Breakfast was great and sustained us until dinner!

Our room was very large for a family of four and breakfast was great and had actual hot food which we appreciated as I really dislike continental breakfasts. Locations was awesome, just a quick 5 min walk to the train station.

It was older with older decor, but still ok. Would have liked to have hair conditioner.

Wonderful location and staff.

We loved the balcony, the location, breakfast offered a good variety. The front desk staff was helpful. The shower and bathroom set up was good. We liked fresh linen after a few days.

We didn't understand how to use the shades on the door and windows. The lighting over the bed got in the way when you try to sit in the bed.

The staff is super warm and welcoming. Hotel provides breakfast and nice sauna service. The location is great where it’s just walking distance from the train station and you can see the beautiful mountains outside. There are tons of restaurants around too which is very convenient.

Best of both worlds!

Exceptional location on the main Street with an imposing view and a migros beneath. Good soundproofing Apartment First, being an apartment in a Hotel, brings the best of both worlds. You don't have to worry about the dishes, yet you get the togetherness of an apartment! You can make your own food, especially useful with picky eaters. The upstairs bedroom has an attached bathroom. It also has a Jacuzzi! It would be my first choice for the next stay.

Almost perfect. The kids room with 2 single beds, had cobwebs in the roof, hence one star deducted for service. Otherwise, service was very good.

The hotel, staff, views, location and breakfast were all amazing. The hotel balcony has the best view point in grindelwald. The views of snow clad Eiger from rooms was unbeatable. Julius upgraded our room for six nights stay. He guided us with options for our trip. Big thanks to him and all staff for making our stay memorable. During rains the balcony is the best place to enjoy the view. Bang opposite is the mini golf where family can spent an enjoyable evening. Base station to grindelwald first is very close. The first bus stop from grindelwald is hotel which reflects the views and prominence of hotel.

Loved everything about this hotel. Exceptional breakfast with a very good selection. Staff helpful and friendly, walking distance from train and great free bus service at door. Even had a nice sauna area which we made use of. Highly recommend, really enjoyed our stay, we ended up staying an extra night, thanks.

The staff was awesome. Donato was especially helpful. The breakfast was over the top with many choices and fresh.

Nice room in a pleasant hotel in central Grindelwald. Pleasant, helpful staff. Electrical connections in room were in awkward locations - ie we had to put jug on floor for cord to reach power point. Breakfast was limited - no real muesli, quite a lot of packaged product.

Need improvement on hygiene

- location is good, can just walk to the First Adventure, there’s a supermarket just downstairs - hotel staff are nice and helpful

- the cleanliness needs improvement, we felt so itchy with the comforter. - it’s noisy at midnight and daytime ( a bar and playground downstairs)

incredibly unpleasant

Strongly not recommended! This marks the first time I've felt compelled to leave a negative review. Our stay at this hotel was profoundly unpleasant. Personally, I booked a two-night stay, and my friend joined me for the first night. However, on the second day, at 10 PM, while I was asleep, the front desk relentlessly knocked on my door. She came to check whether my friend was still occupying the room, saying that an additional person would incur extra charges. Interestingly, my friend had already informed the staff of her departure earlier that night when she gathered her belongings and left. To our dismay, the unhelpful conduct of the reception staff persisted throughout our stay. This was particularly evident when we left our luggage at the front desk before checking in, only to be met with a marked lack of patience. Furthermore, the functionality of the showerhead in our room was compromised. When we requested assistance, we were met with an evident reluctance to help.
