I would have happily paid more for this hotel if it was renovated. Wasted potential.

Its actually located in a really good place, it's also got quite a few positive sides to it, staff were friendly the bar area is pretty cool too.

This place was probably once really posh and to be honest I didn't expect much for the price I paid especially during the high season (skiing, snowboarding etc) but its really more of a Hostel and less of a Hotel. In need of serious renovation but I understand that it's probably a work in progress. I didn't get to shower warm cause they have an old boiler system.

Good hotel option in the Jungfrau Region for small family

Jungfrau Lodge, Crystal Annex offered wonderful views of Grindelwald Valley and the Eiger Peak. Being centrally located with a bus stop right there made getting to both Grindelwald Terminal and Grindelwald-First lifts very convenient.

Breakfast buffet was typical European Continental Breakfast, more variety or hot egg option would be a plus. Crystal Annex ski room is small and unheated.

Happy for one nights stay.

The location was perfect, less than 5 minutes from train station, clean and comfortable.

It was very clean, the cleaners spent a long time everyday making sure it was spotless.

Love the room with the Eiger Moutain view, amazing experience.

The view is stunning, if you book a room with Eiger view, you will see the moutain clearly, and in the nights getting more stunning.

The location consider near to the train station if you do not mind going up the slope after check in to yr hotel. The view in the room is fantastic

The properties are like those 80s chalet. There is only one plug that you can use to charge all your electronics stuff and it is way below the study table. You might not be able to find it if you dun search for it. There is no bottled water and kettle provided in your room. You have to go down to the first floor to get your water from a tank and boil your water with one kettle provided. Or you can purchase water from the receptions which is opposite your room. Towel has a smell. Everything is very very old.

Pleasant stay

View was great room also had space. Also, I know that the cat isn’t related to the crystal annex, but it was so nice seeing it sat there on the step every day lol.

Breakfast was disappointing food options were very limited no hot food other than boiled eggs or rice.

The property gives an amazing view of snowy mountains. Absolutely stunning 😍

It would be more helpful if there is a kettle and a microwave inside the room, furthermore, some of the staff needs to improve on their customer service skills. Specially Daniel.

Although the rooms were smoke free the property is not hence we could not enjoy the balcony views at times while the other guests around us smoked on their balcony.

A lovely stay

The hotel room is excellent. Waking up early in the morning, I could see the magical view of Grindelwald’s small valley, with fields covered in fog and mountains in the background. You can just sit in front of the hotel room, enjoy a cup of coffee, and take in the scenery. The bed is comfortable as well. The breakfast is excellent and comes with a view.

The shower room needs improvement. The hot water is hard to adjust—it’s either too hot or too cold, and the knob doesn’t turn smoothly. The shower rod cannot stay in place on its own and keeps sliding down, so I had to hold it with one hand while showering with the other. There is no water kettle in the room. I wonder if the hotel could provide a good-quality kettle in the room for guests’ convenience. Thank you for providing drinking water, but currently the drinking water and kettle are located on the first floor. We have to keep going downstairs to use the kettle, and it’s not very convenient, especially at night when it’s dark. The TV is hard to control—I couldn’t switch it on or change channels smoothly, so I ended up turning it off. It would be helpful if a TV channel directory could be provided as well.

Great view

The room had a beautiful view and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh options to start the day. Overall, though, the comfort and views made it a memorable stay. Loved that they offered free on site parking. They were also happy to provide us with extra pillows on request.

It’s a fair walk to reach shops and restaurants, so keep that in mind if you prefer everything close by. The only downside was that breakfast and reception were located across the property, which meant walking across the street each time.

Generous place, great team

I love a little place that over delivers. Lovely little chalet style room and in our opinion, much better than the actual lodge, as it sits on the valley side, so there is no road and traffic spoiling your incredible view. The inexpensive cocktails came with nuts and the continental breakfast was generous with all kinds of options. They also have a ‘kettle and mug’ station in the communal reception in the annex. Well done!

Get the room with balcony and view

We felt like we were in a fairy tale seeing the view of the Grindelwald alps from the balcony of our room. The room itself had the essentials and the bed was comfortable enough. Because it is an annex, the breakfast and restaurant, as well as checking in/out are still at the main building, which is just across the street. Walking distance to the train station.

Lovely stay with incredible views of the mountain range and Grindlewald

Room with an amazing view of the Mountains in Grindlewald. A lovely place to stay and the staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending us things to do and places to stay. Would definitely recommend.

The pillows were a bit too soft which gave me a neck ache but that is really personal preference.

A bad living experience

The location is ok

First of all, because of the traffic problems in Switzerland, I couldn't check in smoothly on the first day and didn't give me any compensation. Secondly, I didn't eat breakfast the next day.

There is stunning view of mountain with the balcony. Room is good and breakfast not bad. It’s slightly expensive but worth to stay.

Beautiful view of the mountains

The hotel is located in Grindelwald's main road, 7min from the main station and around 10-15min from restaurants and a market. It is also located 20min by foot from Grindelwald Terminal where we could take the cable car to Jungfrau. The staff was super kind and helpful and the breakfast buffet was delicious. They also have a transportation option to the train station for when you have lugagge and don't want to go up the hill with it. Also, the room had a spectacular view of the Eiger!

Many essential things were not available like kettle ,slippers , Coffe machine , little soap etc.. Check in and check out in different building you must cross car street Staff were not flexible and was very tough dealing with us ; we felt we are not welcomed in their hotel Staff keep calling to check out early at 11:00 they warn us to leave in maximum 15 min which was not professional way , we ran in rush to check in before 15 min finish ; it was the worst experience I had in my life

the Mountain View from the balcony is perfect.

Reception is not in the building, you have to walk to the building in front of the hotel (another Jungfrau Lodge) to check in. Kettle is not provided, you need to boil your hot water near the reception counter. Power socket is very limited and we struggled to find power sockets!

The view from our balcony was exceptional. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Rooms were a bit basic for the price. A fan would have been lovely as it was very hot outside and in the room. The room needed a little maintenance.

Prime view from the balcony, cozy hotel rooms and perfect location. Good spots for your cars and helpfull staff.

Although prices are already extremely high, you still need to pay extra for a warm breakdast (eg scrambled egg). We took take away sandwitch for our child who did not eat too much inside and staff stoped us and ask to pay extra for every little thing you take away 3.5 franks. Eg if you take half sandwitch, 1 croissant and an apple you pay 10.5. I have been in over a hundreeds of hotels in my live, that one was the most expensive and only there you cant take away an apple, hence you feel like an object which hotel wants to screw up on money.
