The views of the Eiger are absolutely fantastic. Modern well provisioned rooms. We didn’t eat breakfast or use the TV lounge but both available along with communal kitchen for pm meals you can cater for yourself. Really enjoyed our stay albeit wished I’d clearly understood the bathroom was across the corridor (for our use only) and what comes with a standard room. Would have upgraded if I’d recognised this at booking. In the end no issue.

Good location with views of the Eiger. Walkable into town and back, and good exercise! Our room with kitchen was a good size and well equipped. The only challenge was the bathtub/shower which you could not really stand in. But otherwise it was a good place to stay. We brought our dog and she was comfy. You can do a lot on Grindelwald with a dog!

The property felt quite sterile and had bare bones for amenities, in terms of places to hang things. The view was fantastic, but the shared space was dark, impersonal, and had no view. But staff was friendly and it was handy to be able to use the fridge, microwave, and dishes.

Absolutely not worth the money. We ended up paying ~$1000 per night here. This was advertised as a hotel. But is closer to a hostel environment. Some rooms have bathroom in the corridor that are not attached. The location is up a mountain with bad transportation connections. For charging 1000 per night, they can at least have a shuttle service to the city center. There are no restaurants close to the property and the location is isolated. Definitely not worth your money. Find a real hotel at the city center, you will have a better experience.

Loved this hotel. But don't make the mistake we did and walk from the train station! It's straight uphill the whole way. Take the bus!

This hotel was perfect, exceptional views. It was very friendly, the rooms were super spacious and clean. They had a balcony with gorgeous views. There is a very steep hill to get to the hotel, that’s the only downside. But they do offer a bus service once you have checked in.

For the prices they charged, the service and accomodation are quite mediocre. For starters, when arriving the person doesn't really explain what to do if you want to go skiing, the shower didn't work correctly (I had to fix it), soap dispenser broken, portable lamp for the balcony discharged and nor charged around, requested two pillows, they never arrived, balcony light is impossible to turn off and is disruptive for sleeping are some of the small details we experienced. Another detail that bothered me is the parking, they charge 15 CHF/night to let you park in their backyard essentially. The space is not maintained at all and is quite slippery and even dangerous. For context, parking for a day in the underground Terminal in Grindelwald is exactly the same price. For this price, you can probably douch better in the village itself.

Beautiful stay. It would be even better if there was a fire pit and a hot tub outside for guests to enjoy after hours when everything in town closes and there is not much to do in the winter.

beautiful view of the mountains. NOT in town but a 10 minute walk to town on a path. free bus service upon checkin but walking back from town would not be for the elderly. the staff were very nice and helpful and check in was quick. especially good if you make your own food/ nice shared areas and porch. more outside areas to relax would be nice and perhaps a bar.

Beautiful view from room. Would be a 20 min walk from train with luggage. We had a car, so very easy to get to hotel. Breakfast is in price range of town meals and was good. New rooms, comfortable bed.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Eiger View Alpine Lodge. It had a cozy vibe, and the staff was EXCELLENT. Margarita was so sweet and helpful, and the breakfast that she and her colleague prepared was so delicious. The only tricky thing about this hotel is its location (if you walk, it is up a STEEP hill) but thankfully there’s bus transportation if needed. We were so sad to leave, but we know where we’ll be staying again when we return to Grindelwald!!!

Pros: 1. We stayed in the suite which is on the top floor so we had a great view of the mountains. 2. Suite looks relatively clean and new. Cons: 1. Impossible to walk up from the village to the lodge as the path is very steep. Don’t stay here unless you have a car. 2. There were extra charges for everything, from parking to extra headcount to breakfast. Not good value for money. 3. Suite has sloping roof and it’s impossible to stand straight to shower unless you are a child. Major inconvenience.

The room we got is basically a Hostel. It is clean, private and comfy, however we got a room that either, the description was confusing or we didn't read right.. but didn't had a private bathroom, other guests were confused as well. The wall are thin and the heat wasnt great. The lodge is new and clean. Personal were very friendly. Parking is extra for some reason, even tought this is not downtown, you have to pay an extra 15 Eur.
