Hostel de La Grande Cascade

The views from the dining room over a wooded valley and a meadow with deer roaming was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel is not in the village of Le Tholy, not a problem for me but some might expect a village location. The was small and basic, but comfortable. At first I couldn’t locate the toilet in the room, turns out it was in one of the cupboards, literally a WC!!

Nous avons passé un très bon moment à l’Hôtel de la Grande Cascade. Le repas de la Saint-Sylvestre était incroyable : nous nous sommes régalés. Le seul petit inconvénient, selon notre mode de vie, concernait le petit déjeuner. En effet, si celui-ci n’était pas réservé la veille, il n’était pas possible d’y accéder. Comme nous avons l’habitude de nous réveiller tard en vacances pour prendre le petit déjeuner, nous avons dû aller manger ailleurs après 10 h. Mis à part ce point, tout était parfait !

Le petit déjeuner pourrait aussi être proposé autrement pour ceux qui souhaitent décider lors du réveil, comme, par exemple, un pain au chocolat ou un croissant. Pas besoin de beaucoup de choses.

de kamer was kleiner dan op de foto's leek te zijn het hotel is wat gedateerd. Maar schoon.
