It was a magical stay

We absolutely loved our time at this beautiful and historic château. Every corner of the property is filled with charm and character, and you can feel the care that has been poured into preserving its story. The homemade breakfast was unforgettable — fresh from their own farm and served with so much love. Truly one of the best breakfasts we had in France! What made our stay even more special was the hospitality. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We spent time sharing stories about our families and histories, and even though we relied on Google Translate to communicate, the connection felt effortless and genuine. We laughed, learned, and left feeling like we had met new friends. If you’re looking for a place that is more than just a stay — one that gives you memories — this is it. We cannot recommend this château highly enough and would come back in a heartbeat!

A unique experience in a beautiful old château - with a wonderful breakfast!

Old château with lots of character (wonderful very old stone steps leading upstairs), located in a very quiet area, but within walking distance of a livelier area. Isabelle, who welcomed us, was very helpful and charming. Breakfast was excellent, one of the best we've had - very fresh pastries and, most importantly, freshly-made, real coffee.

The walk from the château to a nearby restaurant was along an unlit and busy road, but I can scarcely blame the château for that.

A lovely place for our 2nights stop-over set in quiet countryside yet with short drive in to town.

Beautiful house and garden. Great to have the swimming pool and especially the sauna. Very nice and friendly hosts. Easy to drive in to Épinal, an interesting town with many restaurants and bars.

I think for the standard it really should have decent thick nice towels and a bigger size , they wouldn’t even go properly round us . That was poor .

A highlight among the hotels we used during that trip.

A brilliant 18th century house, renovated to high standards and much good taste and an eye for detail. As historians, we felt particularly happy with the surroundings. Very nice staff, a lovely swimming pool, a great garden. The hosue even includes a chapel. The breakfast was super, with fruit from the garden and homemade joghurt. The only regret we had that we could not stay for longer than one night.

Great value stop-over with a real individual touch.

Lovely authentic property with a very individual touch from the owners. The owner was very friendly and there when you needed her. Breakfast was a nice spread in a nicely decorated room. The place had great facilities for the price and felt quite personable due to the small amount of rooms. Nice outdoor space too.

One small toilet without ventilation in a family apartment wasn’t great but that was a very small thing.

Chateau ‘enroute’, with indoor swimming pool.

On our roadtrip to Switserland and Italy, our first stay was near the ‘Vosges’. What we found was this lovely Chateau, with a history dating back over 300 years. It’s well renovated and we loved our stay. Special love to the indoor swimming pool, matching the very nice host, the nice breakfast and good bed, shower and ambiance.

You could see it as a disadvantage, that this chateau is at a few hundred meters away from the Motorway. But with the windows closed, you don’t hear it and it makes this the best place when you’re ‘enroute’.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A great place in a very good location. The hosts were lovely and very helpful. We'll certainly stay there again next time we're in the Epinal area.

Feel like the Lord / Lady of the Castle!

Historic character, complete building restored and decorated in such a way and with such an eye for the smallers details that it really feels like you are stepping into the royal past, with lush gardens, super clean, very friendly hosts, nice homemade breakfast, comfy beds, relaxing atmosphere, great pool area, honesty bar with wines, beers, softdrinks and souvenirs, in quiet rural area but in a nice 35-minute walk (or 5 minutes by car) you will be in the city centre of Epinal for loads of restaurants and bars. It is also located well for visits to several beautiful lakes, waterfalls, wineries, national parks, etc. We highly recommend this place.

Showering in the bath would not be a problem if there would be something to hold the shower head and an actual shower curtain, but there isn’t. This makes it difficult to properly shower without completely drenching the bathroom.

The hotel has character and is clearly cherished & well looked after. Isabelle, the host is charming & helpful & lovely. The whole place is spotlessly clean & has a wonderful atmosphere. I’m in love with the stairs!!!

Beautiful chateau out of a romance novel.

I thought the chateau was so beautiful. It is centrally located and came with easy parking. The grounds are wonderful. The pool was perfect for cooling off from the scorching heat. I loved the history of the property best.

The traffic was so loud and really ruined the tranquility of the property. The room did not have air conditioning and was very hot. A fan should at least be provided. I appreciate that the windows had mosquito nets, but I couldn’t sleep with the window open because of the constant traffic. This might not be a suitable place for young children. I had my son with me and I didn’t feel like we could play around outside without disturbing the owner and other guests. I would not return in the hot months or with my son again.

Stunning , well worth a visit, if you are ever in the region book this château!

The château is beautiful and has been updated in stunning fashion. They have managed to keep the style of the building with the modern facilities we all want when we go away. The host was a lovely lady. Breakfast was good and the homemade yoghurt and jams amazing. The château is slightly away from the main town but we knew that when we booked it. The host recommended a local restaurant which was sublime. The gardens are beautiful .

More choice other than boiled eggs as an option out that is being really picky.
