Disturbing stay

There were a lot of ants on the floor. We reported it to the reception desk, and they swept the floors, but within a few hours, the ants were everywhere again. Very disturbing.

my favorite hotel, between Portoroz and Piran, is a wonder.

If I really want to relax in the summer, I will definitely come here. But definitely once a year! (There was a summer when I came here three times.) My favorite is the terrace of the room, I can sit there for 2-3 hours and listen to the sea.

location, location, location, wanted to stay longer, this place is a gem

check in was a breeze, parking on site, room was well appointed, nice balcony with views over the sea, breakfast was all one could want with excellent service, same can be said for the dinner buffet, the beach (concrete) with good access to the private swimming area. great location, with restaurants a short walk along the promenade towards the cute little town of Piran

A well-located, ocean-front property with free parking good for a one-night stay near Piran.

All rooms have ocean views. Located right next to the public parking lot where the shuttle picks up to drop off in the middle of Piran. There is free self parking at the hotel. The hotel's lots are located less than 5 minutes' walk up the hill from the property. The room was ready for check in slightly early. The bedding was comfortable, and a beach bag, robes, and slippers were provided. The room was very clean. The elevator to the ground floor allows direct beach access, though the beach in this area is narrow. It would be a pleasant waterfront walk of 20 minutes to the center of Piran in good weather. The concierge was helpful in arranging my next stop after leaving the hotel. The included breakfast buffet was extensive.

Front desk staff seemed always overwhelmed, and there was always a long wait for help or service. Despite asking for a quiet room, I was placed right next to the restaurant, elevators, and stairs to the lobby. All the noise of the lobby and the late-night live music carried down easily. The hallways are concrete bunkers which echo loudly. The hotel seemed to be filled exclusively with retirees by the busload and multigenerational families in April; it's possible it's a different crowd in high season. There was instant coffee in the room instead of a coffee maker. The decor is dated. The breakfast buffet serving areas were not always clean or sanitary.

It was possible to book the room late. We went because of the view, but we got a room on the 3rd floor, from which you can hardly enjoy the view. The bathroom was moldy. Few staff. Overall, it's well below 5 stars.

Interesting hotel by the beach within walking distance of Piran

The hotel is situated in an interesting location, by a rock above the sea, right by the beach (private for guests). Beautiful sea view, walking distance to Piran. Friendly staff.

Food could be significantly better. Classic hotel cuisine, no ideas and no local tone, food presentation and taste is average at best.

Huge hotel, but the best times already passed, the only one benefit of this hotel is amazing view

Stuff, we saw how to waitress was stealing food from the breakfast. But later, we saw another person from the property doing the same thing. The next bad thing was that the waitress dropped the bagel on the floor, and he returned it to the basket with the others when nobody was watching.

Excellent hotel, friendly staff who explain everything to you well, they also tell you all the routes. They have indoor pool with a wonderful view of the open sea. The rooms are modern, clean and with a nice view. Well worth a visit and I will gladly return.

Hotel is not bad, but it is not even close to five stars or to value for the price.

Beach is beautiful, and also is the view. Part of the beach for children (with sand) is excelent. Food for breakfast and dinner are excelent. Staff in restaurant was nice. Bathroom in the room was as it was expected from a 5 star hotel. Swimming pool is excelent - it is like from dreams with beautiful view on sea - from 10th or 11th floor.

Furniture in the room was very old. It was not even close to five star hotel. Beside bathroom, room was not close to five star hotel. Furniture in the room was worn out and old. Carpets in the room was full of dust. Chairs and tables in restaruants are worn out - like they are from the 80s. Or even from the 70es. Restaurant is located, i think, on 9th floor and it has a glass windows from which view to the sea should be dreamlike. But the windows are so dirty that you only see dirt on them. The same applies to glass elevators.

Superb

I liked the fact that the hotel is located half way between Piran and Portorož and that it was very quiet in the evening with no disturbance (unlike in the center of Portorož), the fact that the beach is kid friendly - meaning there was easy entry for the kids from the small part of the gravel beach (again unlike in the center of Portorož), the spectacular view from the terrace of the apartment, that in the evening you could take a walk to the center of Portorož. It was a good spot for vacation, very close to Trieste.

The terrace seems to not be in the scope of the cleaning crew which meant we had to clean it ourselves. Generally the hotel could do with a bit of investing.
