The Mirna Hotel is part of the LifeClass Hotels complex, and we were kindly given a complimentary upgrade to the 5-star Slovenija Hotel, which was a very nice surprise.
The hotel was of a high standard and definitely a step up from Mirna, so I really can’t complain about the service. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of food to choose from, and there was something for everyone. The hotel also provided guests with beach towels, and stay at their own private beach, which was definitely appreciated.
Overall, we were very happy with the upgrade and enjoyed our stay.
Technically, the hotel had everything you would expect from a 5-star property, but there were a few small details that, in my opinion, kept the service from feeling truly 5-star.
It was quite clear that the hotel employs part-time staff, probably tourism students. I actually think that’s a great thing, but some of the younger staff members were occasionally a little less attentive than you would expect from a 5-star hotel. Nothing major, and certainly not enough to ruin the experience, but these little details do make a difference when you’re aiming for a truly 5-star level of service.

My feedback is actually for hotel Slovenija as we were transferred there from hotel Mirna.
Hotel Slovenija provides amazing facilities and we enjoyed all the time spent there. We tried the pools and loved, we went for few massage sessions and it was a very pleasant experience, we tried the gym as well. The hotel personnel is kind and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious and with many options.
Portoroz was a nice surprise for us as it is a cosy and beautiful little city, offering a relaxing atmosphere. We also visited few places around like Piran and Trieste and we really enjoyed.
Everything was just as expected

The breakfast and diner was good, great food variety
The room was quite big and a large balcony, only minus, wasn't to the beach side , so not the view witch we expected
We enjoyed the swimming pool every day
The hotel was a bit far from the beach

.location is touristic area.
There is a long way from the room
to reach the pool ,too many stairs interact with another hotel.
