Laid back spot close to Piran

The hotel location is good and very laid back. Breakfast is plentiful and varied.

Parking (charged as an extra) can be slightly convoluted, if you check in late chances are there will not be any spots left, forcing you to park down the road on a public parking lot which is a fair walk away. The path to Piran town is ok although it does have a bit of a steep hill and is completely dark at night.

Highly recommend if you want to holiday in Slovenia like the Slovenians!

The patio right on the water for SUP and snorkelling was heaven! Enjoyed not being in Piran and the lovely 20 m. walk along the sea before and after our day or dinner in Piran.

Room was on the smaller size but great sea view. Bar did not stay open after 9? or 10?

I can warmly recommend this hotel. This hotel was a highlight of my roadtrip.

Opening the window and hearing and seeing the sea, sitting on the balcony. The place is very peaceful. With good weather, swimming is also nice. The staff at the reception was very kind and helpful. The guy deserves a raise!

Eating dinner at the restaurant was nice, but on this level of experience I would expect maybe a candle or led candle on the table and dimmed lights. The harsh breakfast lighting, does not fit the restaurant. Its an easy fix. The other easily upgradable thing: the bread served.... come with warm, freshly baked bread, and the overall experience matches the rest of the hotel. The selection of olive oils for tasting, was really nice! It feels like very close to a premium experience for a fair price, but just not there yet. If weather is warmer and you can sit outside, probably it will be better.

Location was amazing. So close to the water that we could hear the dolphins spouting water as they swam by while we were sitting having dinner. Breakfast was great with an incredible selection. Comfortable room. View was amazing.

I would not recommend staying in the third floor since all air/conditioning units are located on the roof and are very loud. If you are sensitive it is very hard to sleep.

Probably a great place during the busy season, lacking in off season.

The location was great.

The bathroom was dirty and it was a little disappointing that they market as a spa but couldn’t offer any spa treatments. I understand that it was still the tail end of off season (mid-late May) but if you’re a spa then I’d expect access to spa activities.

We enjoyed our stay very muc and will surely find time to come back.

The Hotel is stylish theme, fresh, retro very nice decoration. Very comfortable beds, we slept very well. The room had a great view on the sea as well to the nearby small lake. Breakfast had great selection. The receptionists was excellent. Big thank to David who brought us to a nearby city and gave good tip on the locations. The staff were good and attentive. The short walk to Piran along the sea was a very nice scenery.

The only surprise was that I found the prize of 1/2 liter White House wine a bit too expensive.

Great place to stay in Piran!

I chose Barbar Piran Beach Hotel for its proximity to the beach and wasn't disappointed! The water is literally just outside the hotel and easily accessible. But be warned that the beach is a stone beach (not sand). I didn't do my research and so I didn't properly prepare the kiddos for stones. But they still enjoyed getting into their swimsuits and playing in the water. The rooms we stayed in were very compact, but had all the necessities. The kids loved having a balcony that allowed them to go outside and have fresh air whenever they wanted it. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from: baked goods, meats, cheeses, veggies, cereal, and yoghurt, as well as several fruit juices. It's about a 15-20 minute walk into Piran proper, along a lovely cliff-side path. We walked back from Piran to the hotel in the evening and were able to witness the sunset over the ocean, which was just lovely.

Paying for parking was a bummer, but also unavoidable. It was convenient to leave the car at the hotel and then be able to walk into town.

We were very impressed with the level of service we received and hope to return.

We were very happy to be advised that our room had been upgraded to a larger seaview room with a huge balcony. We liked the new decor (we have stayed here before a few years ago). The breakfast buffet was very varied and well stocked. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and we love the location of the hotel as it is only a short and pleasant walk into town.

We were disappointed that there was not a kettle in the room to make a hot drink in the evening. We initially thought that our hairdryer was broken, but it later transpired that the lights flanking the mirror shared an electrical circuit with it meaning that all the lights needed to be switched on for it to work (which wasn't obvious to us or the front desk when we queried it). The air conditioning unit also seemed to have issues caused by neighbouring units, but the very helpful reception staff sorted it out for us.

I will always remember my stay at the Hotel Piran.

We actually were upgraded to the Hotel Piran wich was awesome. All the restaurants were right outside our Hotel. The staff were very friendly and the Ocean view from my balcony was incredible.

Well, I could not get a coffee before 7:00Am when the breakfast room opened.
