    We loved our stay at the Palazzo Abadessa. The hotel is around a 15 min walk from San Marco square which means the area is much quieter and close to some fantastic spots where more locals eat (Fondamenta dei Ormesini). The breakfast buffet was really delicious with a good selection including cereal, eggs, ham and sweet treats and the garden was nice too. We stayed on the ground floor but the upstairs rooms looked amazing with views over the garden or canal. The staff were also really helpful throughout. We would recommend!

    Full of character. Beautiful garden, lovely lobby with fresh lilies and classical music. Afternoon tea served from 4-6pm. Delicious breakfast which we ate in the picturesque garden. A real jewel in Venice.

    It's a beautiful, artfully decorated, peaceful, pleasantly friendly boutique hotel, with an intimate vibe. Coming down to breakfast in the beautiful palatial breakfast room is like coming to breakfast in your own palazzo, with just a few guests you don't know :D, it's not overcrowded (it can't be as it's not a big commercial style hotel), just peaceful and refined. With lovely homemade cakes and pancakes, fruit, eggs, spread of meats, cheeses, bread, fruit and everything you could want, plus coffee ordered at your hotel however you like it. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the smell of the large bunch of lillies in a huge central display is absolutely overpoweringly amazing and fills the palazzo ground floor, and the smell of the tranquil garden, especially at night when you come 'home' is magical. As is sitting in this garden for breakfast if the sun os shining or at any time eg aperitifs. They also have my beloved perfume that I forgot and are looking after it for me until I can collect it (initially offered to send but can't due to restrictions). I would love this hotel just the same if I hadn't got engaged there, I just love it more as it was the perfect place for this to unexpectedly happen! Stay here!
