The only thing this hotel has in its favour is the location, it is very handy for Newcastle airport and walking distance. That concludes the positives. We stayed there the night before our holiday and had booked to stay again the night of our return but a 2 hour drive at 2am following 8 hours of travel was preferable to another night spent here. Check in was slow with only one poor receptionist to check everyone in and man the phones at the same time. Rooms are damp, tired, dated, noisy and grubby. For 2 adults we were given 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel. No shower gel is provided. One felt the cleaner option was to skip showering rather than use their facilities. Wouldn't recommend or care to repeat the experience. Second time I've stayed at a Britannia airport hotel and it seems they are consistent with their low standards.

Facilities were fine food was fine parking a tight squeeze but appreciate its a busy hotel staff were very helpfull but the most dissapointment was the bed which was not confortable and every turn you made whether just sitting on it or lying down made more noise than an orchestra i think it must have been older than the hotel building and spoilt our sleep

This was a classic case of bait and switch. The actual hotel looked nothing like this picture. Run down overall, mismatched furniture, inconsistent hot water, totally full parking lot with park and fly. We had to park at the back of the building, but no doors at that end were entrances…they were fine for exit…but we had to walk a distance to get in. Friendly staff, but would not go again nor would I recommend it. Not a good experience.

I needed a room for disabled access on the ground following surgery issues and done there and then. Extra pillows given for my legs. Young man at reception was an absolute diamond and did anything to help and make my stay as comfortable as possible. Amazing customer service.
