Decent good choice for budget room

Good an upgrade to a double room nice touch got the basics covered Decent budget room really good price point

No desk to work from, blank out curtains would be better, property a bit dated and mismatched in places (carpet grubby chairs in room) icy reception from the cleaner asked If I could hand her the keys and she just held out her hand didn’t say a single word Owner then came out when I was in my car ready to leave not sure why asked if everything was okay I said I’d given keys to cleaner was that okay fine. Still no idea what that was about (would make sense if i had forgotten something)

Great location for access to Newcastle. Excellent price, especially for New Years Eve. Had everything we needed for a one night stay.

We had no control of the heating and when it was on, there was very little heat coming from the radiator. The room was therefore very cold which made it difficult to sleep comfortably

Great location and house with ample onsite parking

David is a warm and welcoming host who was laid back especially when booking.com messed up my payment leaving me potentially without accommodation after a seven hour drive north. I appreciated the late check out which helped with specifics on my stay.

Towels quite smelled musty both nights and unfortunately there was a ladybird infestation in the bathroom but this didn’t cause too many problems. In stark contrast to the host, the cleaner was well mardy and refused me waiting in the hallway where I wanted to make important calls.

Quirky, beautiful guest house

Quirky, beautiful home, well maintained and comfortable. Facilities as required. We stayed in a beautiful double with 4 poster bed, massive bathroom with his and her sink, separate shower and stand alone bath. Set in lovely grounds, this welcoming guest house was a wonderful find, and we would definitely recommend

Wow what an amazing place. We stayed in room 2 and it was just gorgeous and so big. The bathroom was huge with great shower. An amazing night's stay. Definitely return when back in the area, little gem of a place

It was quiet and peaceful.

The bathroom was down the corridor, but private. For an elderly person who has to get up in the night it was awkward. The room was cramped, not really a good size for 2 beds. One of the beds had a lamp which had to be switched on and off at socket, not good for reading, poor illumination.

Easy checking, David was very pleasant. Nice big room with comfy bed. The toilet and shower were along the hallway. Good value Italian restaurant very close by.

This is a gated homestead with luxury rooms surrounded by an eclectic collection of interesting objects, including a suit of armour at the front door. There is a restaurant a few minutes away and lovely grounds. The bathroom was a standout.
