Guesthouse Angelina

People are very friendly and the breakfast was amazing.

I didn't see anyone outside the first time I went there. Had to come back the next day. Signage could be a lot better.

The bed was the coziest, and Angelina made the best food. Bonus, great cats!

We arrived at Ushguli after a big day of hiking and despite it being a little difficult to find initially (up a big hill over the town and then tucked away behind some other buildings) a local just showed us where it was, so that was fine. The building itself was super cute and cosy, with very warm rooms and a lovely backyard with some seats to enjoy the sun with a beer. It was easy to walk through the small roads (not shown on Google Maps) to visit some of the nice bars and restaurants in the town area of Ushguli. We were cooked a delicious big dinner by the lovely family, which had some unique local foods like cheesy cornbread, and some other salads and vegetable stews, and of course some homemade wine. We could also book a taxi back to Mestia through the guesthouse (we left too early to have the breakfast so have nothing to say about that). A great stay for our last night on the trail.

The shower pressure and heat wasn't very good when 2 showers were running at once, but with only one running it worked a lot better

I had an unforgettable stay at this wonderful family hotel. The family was incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the very first moment. The food they prepared was absolutely amazing – from delicious kubdari and khachapuri to fresh homemade yogurt and crisp salads, all made with bio products straight from their garden. The atmosphere was so cozy, and their adorable dogs and cats made the experience even more special. The rooms were spotless, very comfortable, and had everything I needed. On top of that, the view from the hotel was simply stunning – one of those sights you’ll always remember. This was truly one of the greatest experiences of my life, and I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking to enjoy authentic hospitality, incredible food, and breathtaking surroundings.
