Guest House Gogia

Beautiful property, delicious food, lovely people!

This was our favorite and most memorable stay in all of Georgia! What an exceptional property, with incredible food, and the most fabulous hosts. Above and beyond. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I waited until we had finished the Mestia to Ushguli hike before submitting the review so that there was a reasonable comparison between places along the trail. Gogia was the stand out and exceptional guest house of the hike. From the greeting on arrival to the farewell on departure this was an exceptional stay. The entire property was immaculately maintained and clean, the hosts were warm and friendly, the facilities were excellent despite 2 shared bathrooms. But the food was outstanding- variety, quality, quantity and even a glass of wine with dinner. We were provided with delicious fresh fruit with breakfast and all guests were offered bags that we could use to take any leftovers on the hike. The property was completely full the night we stayed and it was easy to see why.

Nothing. It was exceptional.

Easily or favorite place we stayed while on the Mestia Ushguli hike. We shared a small quad room with our kids. A Shared bathroom was available on each floor, but they were clean and quite large with nice showers so easier to share than most Georgian bathrooms. Washing machine was amazing to wash the muddy hiking clothes of the day. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. The yard was green and inviting with lots of seating, hanging chairs and benches to relax after the hike and chat with other guests.
