Stay there! You will love it.

The hostel has a lot of things going for it. The location is fabulous on the top of an amazing hill that overlooks Leon. It has a spectacular view and is really worth going there. The accommodation in the dormitories was satisfactory in every way. Lovely mattress & bed linen. I had the top bunk and there was a little curtain to keep me closed in as well as a piece of timber covering the other side. One of the toilets had a toilet seat that came off completely, however the other one was clean and the showering area I just kind of skipped because that was unclean. The staff were brilliant when I arrived after midnight and I was welcomed and shown to my room and in fact shown my bed because everything was pitch black at that time. The guy serving the breakfast in the morning was very friendly and accommodating to my very poor French.

Perfect for a couple nights with incredible view but not great kitchen or bathroom

The beds had curtains for privacy which was a huge relief to find and the lockers were pretty good to store bags and valuables. The view from the balcony was incredible!! Eating dinner and breakfast out there whilst looking down onto the rest of Lyon was absolutely magic!!

No fan or aircon so the room would get very stuffy if you didn’t leave the window open. The bathrooms are incredibly old and very small too. The shower had one button and the water was cold, always. The kitchen was also very small and could only fit one person at a time to cook in there. It’s also pretty gross as many other travellers didn’t seem to clean up after themselves and there aren’t many pots and pans or other kitchen items.

The atmosphere was amazing, and the staff were very kind and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The best part was the beautiful terrace with an incredible view over Lyon.

Great location on a hill, wonderful view from the terrace

We chose this hostel for its location—we wanted to enjoy breakfast with a beautiful view of Lyon, and it did not disappoint. The scenery was just as stunning as we had hoped. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and our roommates were also lovely. The breakfast was a simple French (croissants, butter, and jam), but it was nice for the price.

The only downside was the old shower, a bit dirty and the small sink

Everything was great, stuff was very nice, everything was clean and the view was amazing.

The hostel is on the hill so it has a beautiful view. It is just couple of minutes away from Saint-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral down the hill and about 10min away from Basilica of Notre Dame of Fourviere up the hill. And also, I was solo, I left the room while it was still dark outside and it was scary of course but the neighborhood was okay and the closest metro station was close to the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Cathedral.

The only thing I didn't like is the fact that, the sink is only in the room. I had to leave at around 6-7am and the other girl that was in the room with me was still sleeping, I didn't want to wake her up but I also had to use the sink. And also it was very cold in the room.

Amazing view from the outdoor bar and there is also near by park with a really good view as well, aand very friendly staff. There is a big washing machine that guests can use and is good quality. A few minutes walk to the nearest metro station which also has the funicular to the basilica.

The location is relatively good but the only way to get to the property is to either walk up a very steep, tiring, and inclined road. Or take the funicular up to the basilica and walk down to the property. The beds were okay, but the rooms were poorly climitased during the summer. The bathrooms were okay but the sinks in the rooms were not working.

Unsafe, false advertising, poor facilities.

The beds were comfortable enough, and I thought the view would be worth the trek up the hill.

It should be rated 1, because they advertised laundry services but never had them. Sometimes that's more important than a bed, you know? Broken toilets, poor showers. Terrible security (door unlocked all night), questionable people hanging out on the view terrace. Don't blame the workers: It's clearly understaffed. Checked out early, found the in-town hostels MUCH better.

good location, awful management. Don’t waste your money!

The location was great

I had to check in 1 hour and half late due to my delayed flight, when I get to the hostel they didn’t have my booked bed to give it to me. The receptionist took me to several room to check if there is an empty bed or not. At the end the gave me a bed, I booked and paid for female dormitory but when in the middle of the night I woke up I saw there was a guy sleeping in the room. The room had only 2 plugs for four beds, the shower didn’t have hanger. The day after when I complained they told because you checked in late, the check in is from 15 to 22, I got there 23:30. My question is how they gave my booked place to someone else within this 90 minutes? The day after they gave me a bed in female dormitory, the place was so dusty and dirty, for one day there was no hot water to shower. I normally travel solo and stay in hostels, I have never seen a hostel like this before.

The view from the Hostel is amazing! the staff is also very nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable, but I would prefer to have a cubby in the room to store my things while I sleep (had to leave things on the bed and sleep on them)

Not very clean (the room has dusty and wet, the common areas were messy, the bathrooms were not very clean). The bathrooms are not their strong suite.
