A cozy stay in the most beautiful place in the world!

The hosts left freshly made bread for us upon arrival, the view was incredible, the hut was cute and efficient with the space available, and we loved opening the windows to let the breeze in. We had an amazing stay!

As the bed was a Murphy bed, the mattress was a bit thinner than we were used to, so it was a fairly firm bed. This is more of personal preference though.

A Magical Retreat

Upon our arrival, Debbie and Barry were so welcoming and lovely. The hut is so thoughtfully designed, a cosy yet considerate space with everything you need and more! The pull down bed was nice and comfy too. Shepherd’s hut has been such a lovely place to stay whilst we have explored the Isle of Skye over the past few days. Good location as the hut is situated no more five minutes (by car) from Dunvegan. It was lovely listening to the beautiful birds from the hut and watching the sun set on the island. The information pack, alongside the host’s suggestions of where to go etc was very helpful indeed! Thank you!

A cosy little vaycay!

This was the perfect stay for what we wanted. It was clean, cosy, and quiet with a great location for cafes and restaurants, just a short drive to Dunvegan. The owners were very welcoming and really lovely people. We will certainly be staying here again and using this as our base when we visit Scotland again, as we tend to come at least twice a year.

The cutest little stay. All the amenities were very nice and the bed was comfy. Excellent location in the countryside, with Dunvegan just a few mins away. Hosts were extremely nice.

Friendliness of the hosts, the tent was very cute and comfy. learning about the animals and being able to feed them.

The drinking water hat a weird taste, also missed a reading lamp, but that's to be expected in such place without electricity.

Short But Sweet Stay @Shepherds Hut

An intimate & cosy little place that exceeded my expectations tbh. One thing I was concerned about is whether it would be cold (I read a review that mentioned such). However, the heating system was perfect & warmed the hut quite quickly. Also, the location is ideal for popular tourist spots and there is a petrol station and some shops/cafes/restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend it.

The design of the shepards hut was ingenious, high quality finish. Loved that it had running hot water, toilet and an electric shower. Great views too!

Only 1 TV channel worked, poor signal strength but the views kept me highly entertained!

Amazing Shepherds Hut with gorgeous views

Perfectly kitted out for all your needs. Has a shower and toilet, over, hob, fridge, kitchen stuff, seating area, pull down comfortable bed and the most wonderful views. Loved the little touches such as freshly picked daffodils, milk and the most tasty loaf of bread I’ve had! Barry and Debbie are wonderful hosts, you have a lot of privacy but they are also on hand if you need anything. Location is perfect if you’re looking for remoteness but also amenities aren’t too far away in neighbouring Dunvegan.

The Shepherds Hut is very cosy, spotless and has all the facilities you need for a relaxing break, the owners Barry and Debbie are very friendly and welcoming. On arrival there was home baked bread and wine in the Hut, which we thought was a lovely touch. Highly recommended

Everything at the Shepherds Hut was perfect, just take care when driving due to rather large potholes

Cold and boring, take warm clothing and something to do.

Only 1 heater in the hut and it had a restricted thermostate, so no matter how high you turned the temperature up it got no warmer. Every time a vehicle drove past the hut the tv signal would break up on the only 2 chanels found.

Wonderful Hut, Wondeful Location, Wondeful Hosts ...... Jackpot !!!

I had a thoroughly lovely time at The Shepherds Hut. I was greeted by two lovely, kind, friendly People - Barry & Debbie - who immediately made me feel very welcome. Debbie had very kindly baked me a lovely Brown Loaf which I demolished almost immediately. It was gorgeous. I saw them every day and enjoyed our little chats about the wonderful Isle of Skye and our lives in general. They were both very nice to me.

Super gemütlich

Es war eine der bestehen Unterkünfte die wir je hatten, definitiv die beste die wir in Schottland hatten. Der Wagen war sehr gemütlich, Dusche heiß, Heizung kann selbst reguliert werden. Das Bett war bequem, Handtücher groß und weich. Man merkt dass die Gastgeber alles mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet haben. Sie haben uns auch mit Empfehlungen in der Umgebung geholfen. Der Wagen steht auf dem Grundstück der Gastgeber, ca 20 Meter weit weg. Also ganz abgelegen schläft man nicht.

Hoe knus het was en de uitgebreide keuken, alles was voorzien. Bed heerlijk zacht en goed warme douche en verwarming. Hosts waren super aardig en alles zat heel goed in elkaar. Locatie was mooi en rustig maar wel goed bereikbaar!

L'emplacement sur l'île est idéal et très jolie vue. C'était une première pour nous de loger dans un tel logement. Petit mais très fonctionnel. On a adoré. Un pain maison nous attendait à l'arrivée merci pour cette attention.

Une petite lampe de chevet serait sympa pour le soir car l'éclairage est un peut fort .

Propre et fonctionnel et bien agencé.

Lors de notre arrivée, les propriétaires étaient absents et nous n’avons eu aucune information pour les joindre. Nous avons attendu une heure devant la porte. Sachez tout de même que la surface habitable n’est que de 9 m2 pour 120 livres . une information qu’on se garde bien de nous dévoiler.
