    Great house with great view
Wonderful location. Nice and cosy warm (which is a benefit for almost all days even in summer in Scotland). Lovely view, great rooms.
Cooking is a bit of a challenge even though I would have loved experimenting more with the AGA (but ours was too short a stay unfortunately).

    Great facility, superb view.
We really liked the size and layout of the house. All amenities were provided for. The view and location was excellent for us.
We battled a little to lock the entrance door not knowing the trick to it. Perhaps a short explanation for overseas visitors.

Stunning Location, Cozy Home – But Disappointing Experience with Host and Amenities
Healabhal Cottage is located in a truly beautiful part of the Isle of Skye, and we were lucky to have great weather during our stay. The house has a charming look and feel, and was mostly clean and cozy for our group of 8.
    1) However, several issues affected our experience. The listing stated 3 to 4 bathrooms, but we found only two usable baths—one with just a tub and no hand shower—which made it difficult for a group our size to manage. 2)The house cleanliness was not up to standard: there was dust, popcorn, and snacks under the living room couch when we arrived, bathroom hand wash was nearly empty, and the toilet on the ground floor already had tissues inside. The pantry had empty salt and pepper containers and unusable, bent cooking pans. One of the kitchen chairs was broken, and I moved it aside to avoid anyone getting hurt. 3)Also, if you're looking for peace and quiet inside the house—forget it. The flooring and walls are so flimsy that even footsteps are loud and echo through the house. Every movement causes vibrations; you can literally hear someone breathing. There’s absolutely no sound insulation or quiet time—extremely disturbing and unsettling, especially at night. On top of all this, the water stopped on the day we were leaving, so none of us could shower before checkout. 4)What was most upsetting was the host Olivia’s message after our departure, accusing us of leaving the house in a mess and breaking the kitchen stool. I had already found the chair broken and simply set it aside to prevent injury. While we had cleaned the kitchen, loaded the dishwasher, and disposed of trash (5 minutes away on the highway), we were criticized over minor oversights like a few hygiene items and two bowls left in the sink by the kids. This harsh response felt unfair and disappointing—especially when we arrived to a space that clearly hadn’t been properly checked or cleaned. Before pointing fingers at guests, the host should ensure the property is well-maintained and spotless to begin with. With honest listing details, better upkeep, and a more respectful host approach, this property could offer a much better experience.

It was a wonderful cottage. I'm very glad I found it.
This was a wonderful cottage. Very remote, quiet, peaceful with a view of the ocean. It was clean and comfortable. This would be a wonderful place for a family get together to just chill and play board games.
Food wasn't the most readily available in the area. If you can, bring your own food.

Clean and relaxing house in the Skye.
Nice big house with lots of things to keep kids occupied. Big comfortable rooms. AGA oven was cool. Clean. Views were spectacular. Kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pit.
They recommend cooking but pots and pans and cooking utensils need updating. A little pricey but it is a remote place and choice of accommodation is limited.

Wonderful views in a really nice house
    The amazing view!
The AGA cooker was good but too hot for us in the summer. So we would have loved some more cooking hobs.
