No complaints.

Fantastic location with stunning view. We really loved our stay and will surely come back. All cool targets on Skye were easy to reach. Supermarket was also close to the cottage.

Beautiful location

Beautiful location, albeit remote, and views of the sea and loch. Lots of space and nicely decorated with all the facilities you could want from a cottage and wild deer welcoming us in the adjacent field. The Stein Inn is only 1 mile away and very welcoming to everyone with 2 or 4 legs. Three Chimneys about 25 minutes and Portree similar
Water pressure was rather low and Skye does love its pot holes. The gate into the property was also broken at the time so the garden couldn’t be sealed off for the dog.

Dunhallin Ard is a real home from home, which we didn't want to leave. Beautifully furnished, warm and cosy, with the comfiest of beds, and all the appliances, utensils that you need to make self catering easy. The location is fantastic, with great views of the sea, and incredibly peaceful. You will not be disappointed if you book this accomodation!
There really was nothing to dislike. It is a 35min drive from Portree, which may not suit everyone, but still close enough to shops/amenities at Dunvegan if you're running low.

A trip down memory lane . A beautiful renovation to my grandparents house . Superbly comfortable with the same glorious views from my childhood .
Nothing . It was very stormy whilst we stayed and very cosy . The only tiny issue was the vent rattling in the en suite all night but this was due to the exceptional weather.

The property is gorgeous. Much nicer than it looks in pictures and fairly large as well. There were so many nice extras that rentals almost never think about! There were plenty of extra cozy blankets, pillows, candles, wood for the fireplace, books and games. A few starter items for washing up in the kitchen and in the bathrooms as well. It was lovely to have hooks by the back door to hang coats and mittens out of the way and a shelf in the kitchen for pantry items. There was both a kettle and a coffee maker, which is so nice and very large fridge/freezer. The windows in the master bedroom and in the living room provide a really amazing sunset view over the water. The furniture is good quality, well made and well maintained. It's as if one of your friends offered their beach house to you. It did not feel like a rental because of the quality of furnishings.
The driveway iced over one night and so we could not get up to the house, but we were able to park at the bottom and it thawed the next day. It might be helpful to leave some salt by the back door in the winter months. The master shower has a few switches to sort through and there is plenty of hot water with a few adjustments, but it's a bit complicated at first, so I might suggest just adding some details into the instruction booklet. These are just small things. It was really such a beautiful house and lovely owners. We so enjoyed our stay!

Amazing property. Views amazing. Property is comfy, warm and well equipped. Comfy beds. Big inside. Very clean and very hygienic.
No replies to messages over 4 days. Only received generic messages. Rubbish but no are a big walk down driveway. No walk trails near but nothing owners can do about that.

The shared living spaces were perfect for our group - very comfortable and enough space for us all! The living room was a big hit with the log burner, cosy seating and wonderful views to the sea and the outer Hebrides on the horizon!
The location and views were great! We loved the more remote and wild feeling location, while still having most amenities relatively nearby. We also loved that we got to do some star gazing at night when the sky was clear!
Top places nearby to visit included the Stein Inn for dinner, the yurt for coffee and cake and for a little shopping skio pottery and skye skyns.

Excellent property in a very good location. The property was in perfect state at arrival, cleaned throughout, beds ready and kitchen well stocked with pots, cups, etc. The location is easily accessible by car and located near Dunvegan, with several walks available nearby or within a short drive. Would definitely recommend!
Nothing specific springs to mind, was a very good experience throughout. Host, property, location. And the island itself is beautiful!

The location was definitely off the beaten path. Which is what we thought we wanted - and definitely had. The views out towards the outer Hebredies was stunning. Be patient and courteous on the drive to and from the house. The drive is part of the experience and the charm.
Everything we thought we would need was ready and waiting for us. The only convenience missing in the kitchen was a good cheese slicer for some of the delicious Scottish cheddar cheeses we bought. 🙂
The host answered all of our questions before we arrived.
This house definitely accommodates 4 adults and 2 children - or 6 adults with two on single beds very comfortably.
The beds could use an update in the near future.
The water had a different taste/after taste. I don't think there is anything the host could do about that?

The view
10.0 / 10.0
The views and location are spectacular. Property is spotlessly clean and well managed. Nice decor and quality furniture. Cosy log fire. Everything has been thought of to make the stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
Minor suggestions for improvement. Some of the springs in the master bed had gone on the left side of the room and made it a little uncomfortable for the person sleeping on that side. Short of cereal/soup bowls in the kitchen and less than the number of people accommodated for in the house. Although these didn't take away from our lovely stay.

Beautiful cottage. Very well equipped and lovely decor. Spectacular views and sunset.

Property was spacious and there was lots of seating in the living room to accommodate everyone. The view was really special. Loved the games in the garage great for a wet day. Bathrooms were good quality.
The mattress in the main bathroom was very creaky and needs replacing. The dishwasher was too small for six people. The radiator in the living room didn't come on and the controls were broken so we needed to light a fire if it got a bit chilly (which it did). The seals on the log burner need replacing as it was difficult to stop the fire consuming the logs.

Quite far removed from shops but balanced against amazing views and quietness.
