Hilltop

It’s clean, comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. There is a washer and an actual dryer (which took a little figuring out) The location is great for exploring Skye by car and the restaurants in Dunvegan are great.

It’s minimalist. Just enough and nothing more. No extra towels or blankets. We ran out of toilet paper. Lucky we had some we travel with. It’s pricey but it’s Skye. Supply & demand. There are so few places to stay, it’s just pricey. It’s just how it is.

Originally worried that because Portree was sold out we would be isolated from the island's sites, but it actually worked out quite well for us.

Prima locatie, .igt wel afgelegen

The property was advertised as having two beds, but only one was made up. The owner assumes two people will share one bed, in the downstairs bedroom, but this is not stated in the information on Booking.com, or in the introductory email, when the booking had been paid. This information is only available once the guests have arrived at the property. There is only one room for the use of guests upstairs, all the other rooms are locked. This makes it seem very claustrophobic.
