I had booked for 3 days, and wanted to extend due to some work they said no availability. However after check out In the evening they cald me asking if I still need of room then I said ok.. however I was charged double for my stay.. which is not good humanity.

Host was responsive, kind & gentle super - accommodating. The house is beautiful & very well maintained. If you stay here, don’t go by the care takers’ expressions — Lal Bahadur Ji’s stoic in his expression but he’s super prompt & helpful!! & the best bart— bathroom. Modern clean etc. all okay. But the water pressure is such that you’d not want to get out of shower. & will definitely use shower more than other places

Setting correct expectations is important

My pre-trip excitement for Madhav's Mallet was dampened upon arrival. Despite booking a "Garden Facing Room" a month in advance, the provided accommodation significantly differed from the online description and imagery. The allotted room was considerably smaller, lacked promised amenities like a working desk and ample storage (crucial for our five-day stay), and bore no resemblance to the pictured rooms with balconies and almirahs. And there was no garden view, of course. While the caretaker was apologetic, the larger rooms were reportedly unavailable. Our requests for alternative solutions, initially a proper desk and subsequently an almirah, were met with slow responses and temporary fixes (a coffee table as a desk) before finally being fulfilled days later. This inconvenience significantly impacted our comfort and workflow. Despite this experience, we acknowledge the property's other positive aspects. The remaining amenities and staff demeanor were okay. Therefore, Madhav's Mallet has the potential to be a truly enjoyable stay, contingent on two key improvements: Accurate online representation: Descriptions and imagery should accurately reflect the entire range of room options, highlighting any potential discrepancies between categories. This transparency would manage guest expectations and prevent disappointment. Prompt problem-solving: Efficient addressing of guest concerns and swift provision of promised amenities are crucial for a positive experience.

Pros -> Great location, some people may find it noisy, but it’s easily accessible from everywhere. --> Neat, well maintained rooms. -> The owner genuinely seemed to be a nice person, although we didn’t get to interact much. -> Honored request for a desk/almirah — but they should have been there in the first place. -> Allowed early check in, albeit for a fee, but that was helpful. Cons -> Set incorrect expectations about the kind of rooms on offer. If promised rooms are unavailable, guests should be informed in advance. -> Although not a hotel, the staff could, perhaps, do with a bit more training. -> Please intimate staff about the inclusions/exclusions. In our case, breakfast was included in the package, but we were asked to pay. I had to show the caretaker the booking receipt to convince him that breakfast was included. Clearer owner-staff communication will ensure this awkward situation is avoided. -> The behavior of the staff was “cold” at times, and we felt like we were too demanding, although we were only asking what we thought we would be getting. We hope Madhav's Mallet takes this constructive feedback seriously, as it could transform potential disappointment into satisfied return guests.

This was beyond my expectations. Very beautiful, artistic and peaceful property right in the middle of Vaishali nagar, with a beautiful opening to the park. I stayed for a leisure trip and enjoyed my stay thoroughly. Special thanks to Tej who was the caretaker at the property and went beyond his duties to take care of smallest of my requests

Madhav Kunj was home away from home. The trip to Jaipur became memorable due to the wonderful experience here. Host Ms.Bhubhneswari was very kind and warm.
