It doesn’t feel like value for the money I spent. Appreciated the service of the staff though, they really are the best
While the deco of the property was the main reason we booked the stay in the first place, it was the staff, their hospitality and the food that we enjoyed the most. They were so courteous and really exceeded our expectations even though it was very evident that they didn’t come from a hospitality background — which isn’t really a problem imo either. They catered to our food requests for breakfast and the dinner we had there was just incredible! The ghar ka thaali was so flavorful, not to mention how good the coffees are in the morning!
I would say that the price point for the hotel does not equal the value you get for it. Firstly, they sent us a separate payment link even though my credit card details had to be entered to reserve the room through booking.com. Since I had to make payment via an external link, and that too in INR currency (whereas booking.com payment was in $), i was charged significantly higher due to the exchange difference which was a bummer for me. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and the room wasn’t cleaned either of those nights. There was only a small portable heater in the room, and given that we stayed during single digit temperatures, it was extremely cold in the room throughout. The bathroom was very disappointing considering it didn’t look like a hotel bathroom at all. If it wasn’t for the hospitality of the service staff and the spacious room, I honestly would have been really annoyed with the stay.

A great choice for a boutique stay in Jaipur
A great choice for Jaipur, this boutique guesthouse/small hotel is located in an upmarket area (‘civic lines’ district) perfect for sightseeing. The Spice cafe restaurant (which I recommend) is within short walking distance. Newly and thoughtfully restored with some neat design features such as the painted monkeys on the walls, it has a laid back vibe offering peace and quiet from the traffic chaos in Jaipur. All the staff were very friendly. Breakfast taken outside in the garden is an unrushed affair so bear that in mind when making arrangements with your driver. Simple tasty food is available throughout the day at reasonable cost. All in all we were delighted with this find and would return again!

A calm oasis in bustling Jaipur
A calm, beautifully decorated oasis in the bustle of Jaipur. Large rooms, good food options (although it would have been nice to be offered a choice of coffee type when we asked for coffee at breakfast). We left early on our day of departure and were given a packed breakfast for the train. They helped us find a driver to take us round too. Would happily stay again.
We needed a card with hotel details and location to explain where it was to tuktuk drivers as we struggled with this aspect. The other slight negative was not really with the hotel - as with every driver we were offered side trips to see handicraft making etc. Perhaps the hotel could feedback to the driver's company that people dont like being asked repeatedly - ask once.

Nice Property in a quiet slice of Jaipur
Namli House is beautifully decorated, particularly the main lounge/lobby, garden and big spacious bedrooms are really quite beautiful. Lovely, comfortable, big beds too. It's situated in a quiet residential street that feels like a little slice of peace and tranquility from the chaos of Jaipur. The coffee served here is also some of the best we had in India.
The property is quite lovely and has potential, we just felt that if selling this as "a boutique luxury stay", it just needs a bit more care and attention to detail to really compete against the incredible hospitality we've experienced at other homestays and hotels across India. There are a few things that could have made our stay a little better. We understand the hotel is relatively new opening, and it does feel like some of the staff were quite inexperienced, and service was rather slow. The hotel also complicated the payment process which might actually be a breach of Booking.com's terms. They didn't accept card details to guarantee the room when processing on Booking.com and sent a separate payment link via whatsapp, stating that unless we sent this directly, our booking was not confirmed, which made me rather uneasy. The bathrooms could be designed better, the fixtures and layout meant that everything got drenched from the shower - and there's no surfaces for a wash bag etc. Some of the finishes particularly in the bathroom could do with some work. In one of our bedrooms, you couldn't actually reach the bedside tables or light switches from the beds. The hotel also said that they could organise a private yoga class during our stay. We had requested this several weeks in advance of our arrival and the hotel had confirmed this, but when we arrived it turned out this hadn't actually been booked and we heard the hotel manager calling someone last minute to arrange for the next morning. It seemed that the teacher who came was not exactly trained in yoga - we didn't do any sort of flow or many actual yoga poses, and felt more like a stretching class for children. It was also very expensive for what we received, and no where near the standard of any other yoga we've done in India or elsewhere in the world.
