Classic Hotel in beautiful neighbourhood

We loved our stay at Classic Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The garden to sit and have a drink is gorgeous. Great location for a walk into the Old Town and free car parking. Classic Hotel is also in a beautiful leafy part of Florence with some lovely houses to admire. There are also lovely restaurants a few minutes walk away. We also had breakfast included which was a nice touch.

Overall, we loved the ambience of the hotel. The staff were fantastic - so friendly & helpful.

The location was perfect in terms of being near other family members who live in Florence. It was also extremely handy for the Boboli and for good cafes and restaurants. Obviously a little out of town but that didn't bother us at all. The room was fine. We were very impressed that one of the staff made us some tea every afternoon for the three days we stayed which was very much appreciated.

Re breakfast: Was a little disappointed that the bread and croissants/pastries weren't better quality. They seemed a little 'packaged'/supermarket type. It would have been nice to have really good freshly baked bread. Also fresh orange juice would have been welcomed. Everything else though was fine.

Will not recommend the place to any one traveling with small kids.

Staff was good and helpful

There were bed bugs. Our 2 year and we (both parents) got many bugs bite on legs and hands. Really pathetic experience. Furniture and rest of things are too old. Should get it checked from verified sources if this much old stuff is recommended to continue as it carries lot of bugs n foul smell in everything. Almiras were very dirty and stinky from inside.

Average hotel

The hotel was about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Florence, so convenient for accessing all the sights. Nice to be staying in a quieter area away from the centre. The hotel has parking on site. Reception staff were very friendly.

Worst hotel breakfast EVER! Just beige processed items from the supermarket, packet croissants, plastic ham slices, cheap cereals…terrible! Such a shame given all the lovely fresh produce available in the local markets. Rooms felt like they needed a deep clean. Hotel felt a bit old but tired and shabby.

Happy stay in Florence

Large room with bed area on mezzanine and full size lounge room and bathroom on main floor. Gourgeous high windows - open the shutters for light and tree and avenue outlook. Great sleep. 250m to Porta Romana city gate and the rest of the old city. Easy to find; and park on site. Professional, helpful, friendly staff. Easy drive/access to all parts of Tuscany. Stayed 2 nights, would happily stay again.

Classic building in its own grounds and in a great location only 20-30 minutes walking from the historic centre. No catering apart from breakfast ( and this is basic and doesn’t match the standard of the accommodation).

Very good

Nicely decorated hotel with a calm ambience. Very friendly and helpful staff. Peaceful location away from traffic noise and just 1/2 hour walk to Ponte Vecchio. Breakfast served in a pretty little garden.

Nothing much I didn't like. Bathroom a little small but hotel is an older building so limited options. Needed to buy another adapter to charge my phone as socket not compatible with european adaptor i brought with me but local phone shop very helpful.

Stunning location!

We walked to and from Florence to the hotel and it was lovely. Quiet and beautiful location, full of character and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Would benefit from an electrical re-wiring. It’s an old property and it hasn’t been updated for a long time.

Exceptional

The hotel is next to a park, just outside city gates, 20 min pleasant stroll to the very centre of Florence. We had a car and I was happy to leave it at the hotel and not drive. The property was excellent - everything worked. Room size and bathroom were great. Staff was extremely helpful. I forgot my glasses in the bathroom and the hotel posted them to me to the UK! Communication was easy and breakfast was plentiful. Next time we come to Florence, I know exactly where to stay.

Quaint, good for one night .

Great location and the staff were very pleasant! Adequate for 0ne night honestly just to rest and relax and continue on a road trip. Breakfast was small but also adequate. Hotel offers electric car charging for 35 euros, Tesla and others. A bit expensive for it but you take what you can get 😉. Rooms was huge and so was bathroom.

Though hotel is "classic" it could do with a bit of renovation. It seems to be stuck in the 90s or earlier. Pillows were super soft and needed more

Well located friendly hotel

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic: walking distance to Ponte Vecchio, bus stop so close to the hotel as well as lovely restaurants and stores. Great dog friendly hotel. Very well priced. Our family loved the stay. Super convenient free parking!

Awful attitude to people

What makes a hotel comfortable? Locatation, furniture, facilities? No! People is the only thing that makes a difference. If staff is will to help you, doing their best to make your staying unforgettable then this is the real hotel. But Classic hotel is not the case. When I came to the hotel it turned out I mixed a month. My booking was one month ahead. They said we didn't care about. It's your problem. We won't return your money. So, if you do not want to face that kind of attitude please avoid this place.

Location good to walk into Florance, rooms were a good size and were connected whi h was perfect for us, the garden for breakfast was lovely to sit in we visited late August.
