Great stay with a lovely host

We stayed here for two nights with my family and had a very good experience overall. The apartment is comfortable and well located, just two blocks away from the bus stop (line 4) that takes you directly to the Old Town and the city walls. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The style is a bit old-fashioned, but everything worked well. One of the best parts was the host - very kind, charismatic, and fluent in English, always ready to help and share great tips about the city.

The only downsides were that, although the apartment was clean, the floors had a bit of dust, and the kitchen was quite old for cooking. Parking was also a challenge, as our car was too big to fit inside the property, and we had to park quite far away on the street, which wasn't always easy to find.

A special host.

The host - an older gentleman - was brisk and welcoming, embodying the warm and straightforward spirit typical of the Croatian/Balkan region. His fully committed assistance during the parking process genuinely made me smile. His comments about the current shortage of reliable craftsmen and support staff in the town and guesthouses, also earned my empathy. The guesthouse is located about 3 km from both the city’s entrance - marked by the blue-lit bridge honoring Franjo Tuđman - and the old town on the opposite side. From the outside, the two-story house is relatively appealing. Inside, it’s basic but functional - it gets the job done. What initially drew me in was the price, and while the stay didn’t exceed expectations, nothing during my time there led to disappointment either. Overall, a solid experience worthy of a score of 8 out of 10.

The room was actually 2 rooms and a small kitchen. We got a small sitting place in a garden. The place is clean and comfortable. The location is perfect !!! 5 min walk to the night life in the bay close to thd hotels. 2 nice and no expensive resturants 3 min walk and next by a big supermarket. 2 min walk to #4 bus that will take you to the old city. The owner was very nice and helpfull.

Close to restaurants, a nice beach. Easy access north and south of Dubrovnik. The owner is charming but needs to invest in the accommodation, which needs a lot to modernise.

Accommodation somewhat subterranean. Only one window. A bedroom and bathroom without adequate ventilation. The description stated that the kitchen is fully equipped. That's false. No kettle, no toaster, no microwave, plates and cutlery a mismatch of various pieces. Glasses with chips and no cups. Shower area very mouldy. Kitchen units with plastic sheeting as a worktop. Oven with one shelf, 2 small pans, no fryer. Cutlery insufficient. Small patio with mismatch of chairs and table.

The host was very helpful and welcoming. Once we checked in he gave us a map with all the good places in dubrovnik which we can visit during our stay. WiFi in every room was great and my teenagers were happy about it. Beautiful sunset beach was less than 10 min walking distance from the apartment. Pizzeria was les than 5 min away which is always a good place especially for families with children. Also I liked the checking at the apartments which can be arranged at anytime, especially for times when flights are delayed by few hours. Overall Great value for money.. I will most probably book it again..

Stay away. This is awful. This is nothing like the pictures (they have now after we complained added pictures of the apartment) The standard is terribly low. This is not 3 stars. We brought this up with the homeowners. They say that it is booking.com that is fooling people(that is not ouer experienc. Booking.com was helpful when we wanted to move out). They are the ones who take pictures and take care of everything. I am almost 50 years old and we have always vacationed around the Mediterranean, several times in Krotia. We have never been so disappointed. We are writing this review to warn others to prevent others from ruining their vacation.

very good location a few minutes walking to a nice beach, and a dew steps to the bus stop that takes you to the old town in minutes for 15 Kn. Several apartments in different sizes. we had one at the lower level facing the garden. very quiet. Parking included and this in Dubrovnik where finding parking space is not that easy. super friendly host, multilingual. super helpful by giving best advises where to go and how. Hvala Ivica!

Kindest hosts in Croatia

The owners were very kind taking time with us to detail restaurants and points of interest even assisting in planning other Croatian destinations. Very clean spacious apartment with good facilities. Good location with several reasonable restaurants, sunset beach and groceries all within walking. Nothing bad to say.

Good location

The hosts are wonderful, amazing people. They were hospitable and helpful. They even drove us to the bus station in the morning when we needed to leave. So to the hosts I give a stellar rating. The location is very good as well.

There were many things that were wrong. I think it is most likely that someone who stayed right before was likely to be blamed for most of the things I will mention, but I am not sure. Two of the beds were broken- you could not sleep on them. The shower door was broken and the heater in the bathroom didn't work. The place was cold and appeared not very clean overall. Again, I always give very honest reviews and it breaks my heart to not give this place a 10 because of the wonderful hosts. Also, most of the other reviews are very good so it is possible that we were just not lucky and got a bad apartment/at a bad time/after bad guests. I wish the hosts all the best.

We were met by very kind and welcoming host couple, who provided us with very useful information on how to get around in the most economic and comfortable manner. The accommodation is airy, spacious, neat and tidy. Highly recommended!
