Landhaus Gletschermühle

Mein Aufenthalt war wirklich außergewöhnlich erholsam. Die Lage ist super! Bahnhof, Therme und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind fußläufig erreichbar und dennoch hat man viel Ruhe. Nachts hört man das Plätschern vom Wasserfall, was sehr beruhigend wirkt. Das Zimmer ist ausreichend ausgestattet, der Balkon hatte einen schönen Blick und das Bett war sehr bequem. Es war alles sehr sehr sauber. Allgemein wurde sich wirklich ganz toll gekümmert. Das Frühstück wurde sehr liebevoll zubereitet und ich wurde immer herzlich nach meinen Wünschen gefragt. Ich hab durch die guten Tipps der Gastgeberin die schönsten Wanderungen in der Umgebung machen können - danke für die tolle und erholsame Zeit! Wer Ruhe und einen liebevollen Aufenthalt sucht, ist dort sehr gut aufgehoben.

Amazing stay at an amazing place! A wonderful cozy room with gorgeous view of the mountains and the town, very comfy bed. Wonderful clean tap water! I was also given a small kettle and a cup, so I could make my own tea in my room. Very friendly and helpful owner Frau Bader, lovely breakfast. Location is perfect, near the thermal baths, cable car and the train station. My room was always cleaned while I was at breakfast. Frau Bader was in the breakfast room during breakfast hours, offered to make soft-boiled eggs (absolutely recommend), made coffee and tea for guests and offered extra bread, made friendly small talk and gladly gave hiking tips. Overall, the atmosphere was very homely, warm and welcoming. When it rained, you could take one of the umbrellas downstairs when going out. There were multiple brochures on the activities in Bad Gastein, and also if you come by train, you will be given a Mobility card which allows you to travel within Salzburg region. Also as I was checking out and it was raining, and I had a suitcase and no car, Frau Bader very kindly offered to drive me to the train station although I definitely wouldn't dream of asking for it, and it was during breakfast hours. I was deeply touched by such a kind gesture and very grateful! It was my birthday during my stay and it was honestly one of the best ones I've ever had.

Since the house is on a hill, it is a bit of an uphill walk to get there. You need to walk up the stairs to get to the rooms, so consider it if you have heavy luggage. Also, just to mention, there is a waterfall nearby, which is not too loud, but still could be heard if you open the windows in the room.
