very nice small pension

Very good small pension, situated on excellent location in Bad Gastein. Owners of this little hotel, family Gsaller were very nice and always ready to help to their guests and always at their service. We had very big, nice room with nice balcony with phenomenal view on beautiful nature in the surrounding area. Bathroom was very big and perfectly clean. Breakfast was very good, with excellent choice of food and beverage.

Good experience!

The Pension St.Leonhard meet or exceeded our expectations. We arrived @20h and the owner provided us all details for a fast check-in. The variety of food at breakfast is amazing, with local specialties, vegetables, fruits, cereals and more, it exceeds a 3* hotel by far. Breakfast does not include fried eggs and bacon. However, boiled eggs and prepared salad are always present. The room is very spacious and comfortable, and there is an amazing view of the mountains from the room terrasse. The staff were very friendly and helpful providing us, every morning, with small tips to make our mountain adventure more pleasant, identify the best combination for our planning and make a lot of savings. We return here on the first occasion to continue our mountain adventure in Gastein! Thank you Sigi!!!

Wonderful stay

Great breakfast with plenty of options. The mountain view from the room was the real highlight. It was absolutely stunning! It is close to the supermarket, train and bus stations. The host was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. He made sure we had everything we needed and gave great local tips too. You can tell they truly care about their guests. Thank you for having us.

Recommend to everyone!

The location and the staff are the most valuable for this stay. It’s close to the gondola that even the laziest can be happy (ie, me) and the thermal baths are even closer. The town is hilly but it’s a doable hike up after a day on skis. The staff - really your host - is worth the stay.

While there is a sauna on site, you have to pay for it and you have to plan in advance to use it. But that’s such a minor inconvenience.

Perfect location, friendly staff, cosy suites and awesome breakfast

Location is perfect: about 5 min by foot (in ski boots) to the nearest lift, 2 min to thermal baths, 2 min to ski rent, 1 min to cafes, 3 min to the railway station (trains from Salzburg arrive every 2 hours). Cosy suite with a mountain view and balcony. Breakfast is wonderful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed this place and will definitely come back!

The best hotel ever.

Perfect location, near the lift system, shops and the trainstation and bus. Sigi and his wife who owns the hotel was fantastic, they helpt us when we need guidning. The breakfast was very good. And the wieu from the room was amazing.

We appreciate delicious breakfast and the enthusiasm of the hosts who always gave advice regarding the tourist points or the current weather conditions. The view from our balcony on old Bad Gastein and mountains was extraordinary. A big advantage is the location, near train station and cable way.

Great, enjoyable place, strongly recommended.

Great place, comfortable, clean, calm, close to the local thermal pools, cable car terminal connecting you with surrounding mountain tops. Breakfasts were rich, fresh, and tasty. Strongly recommended. The personnel is very nice, polite, and forthcoming. We really enjoyed the stay.

Winterwandelen rondom Bad Gastein

De ontvangst was zeer hartelijk en de kamer brandschoon (en wordt iedere dag schoongemaakt). Het ontbijt was uitgebreid. Iedere dag kregen we tips voor wandelingen in de buurt. De bushalte, treinstation en het thermaalbad ligt op loopafstand. Ook zijn er diverse restaurants in de buurt.

De plaats Bad Gastein kent grote hoogteverschillen. Niet geschikt voor mensen die minder goed ter been zijn. Er rijden wel bussen en taxi's naar het centrum beneden.

Sehr gute familiär geführte Pension

Die Pension St. Leonhard ist wirklich zu empfehlen. Wir haben uns extrem wohl gefühlt. Der Besitzer und alle Mitarbeitenden sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man hat immer schöne Ausflugstipps bekommen. Das Zimmer war schön, das Bad frisch renoviert. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich dass hervorragende Frühstücksbuffet. Die Felsentherme ist fußläufig kurz die Straße herunter sogar mit Bademantel erreichbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leider wurden während unserem Aufenthalt Baumaßnahmen am Bahnhof durchgeführt. Dafür kann natürlich der Hotelbesitzer nichts. Aber morgens um 7 Uhr begannen gleich die Arbeiten mit Presslufthammer.

Mkt välrenoverat och välskött. Ägaren på plats och tillgänglig dagligen, mkt välkomnande och hjälpsam. Frukosten generös. Läget svårslaget centralt, på en stillsam sidogata med utsikt över dalen och omgivande berg. Det är en speciell känsla att sitta på pensionatets balkong och se NER på ortens mest berömda hotell!

Meget venlig vært, et dejligt værelse, god morgenmad og et ekstra plus var, at værten havde reserveret parkering lige ved døren. Dejligt sted.

Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Es war alles wunderbar, das Zimmer, die Ausstattung, der Trockenraum für die Wandersachen, die Auswahl beim Frühstück. Sigi ist ein toller Gastgeber, aufmerksam und freundlich, der uns viele gute Tipps gegeben hat. Die Lage direkt bei der Therme und nah am Ortszentrum ist auch genial.

Der Kaffee könnte etwas stärker sein 😉

Fantastik utsikt från balkongen och bra centralt läge. Mycket bra och fräsch frukost. Fantastiskt trevlig och hjälpsam värd som hjälpte till med det mesta samt gav förslag på vandringsleder och aktiviteter med hänsyn till väder och svårighetsgrad.

Das Frühstück war fantastisch. Unser Gastwirt war unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Er führt seine Pension mit viel Herz. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank!!!

Dit gun je iedereen

Deze accomodatie ligt op een mooie plek en is schoon en netjes. Het ontbijt is super goed verzorgd. Maar wat de accomodatie fantastisch maakt is de eigenaar die zo goed klaar staat voor zijn gasten dat het je aan niets ontbreekt. Zelfs toen wij meldden dat we de laatste dag om 6:00 uur wilden vertrekken en dus niet bij het ontbijt zouden zijn (dat vanaf half 8 start) gaf hij aan dat we best iets konden eten. Ik kan niet het hele ontbijtbuffet klaar hebben maar ik zorg dat er wel iets staat voor jullie. Gewoon fantastisch dus!

Der er et familie hotel, hvor man føler sig velkommen fra første færd, allerede dagen inden vores ankommest , skrev ejeren af hotellet til os for at høre hvornår vi regnet med at komme, så han kunne holde en parkeringsplads fri til os.

Sehr gute Pension

Der Pensionswirt ist sehr freundlich und um das Wohl seiner Gäste bemüht. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend und immer genügend da.

Die Lage ist etwas weit entfernt von den Restaurants unten im Ort, da die Pension oben am Berg ist.

Genoten!!! (eigenlijk met allemaal hoofdletters…)

Heerlijk, vers en uitgebreid ontbijt. Kamers (2 kunnen beoordelen) schoon met goede bedden en met prima uitzicht op de bergen en dalafdaling. De gastheer is erg aardig, behulpzaam en denkt met je mee. Fijn! Vanuit het Pension is de gondel binnen enkele minuten bereikbaar, kan je al je ski artikelen huren, is er een verwarmt ski depot en zit je dus zonder veel moeite en met een volle maag in een schitterend ski-gebied.
