Incantevole residenza difronte a casa Giulietta - Domus Verona

This is a gorgeous apartment in an amazing location. The TV didn’t work and within an hour of reporting it, it was replaced. The staff were incredible and lovely.

The bathroom and kitchen were slightly chipped but nothing major.

The air conditioning worked well, especially as we experienced 34degrees on 2 days. The apartment is spacious and in a great location for being central to all major attractions and shops, and only a few minutes to the closest supermarket. Cleaning was reasonable at eye level but mould was noticeable in the shower.

The listing pictures appear to be "glory shots" from some time ago. Unfortunately the washing machine was out of action (we are away for many months and this was a main filter in our booking selection) . Domus Verona informed us on check in that it had just happened from the guest before but they did arrange for a small load to be done for us free of charge which was appreciated as it could not be repaired in time. You do need to climb 3 sets of stairs (30 steps) to get to the 2nd floor apartment, there is no lift and this is not made clear on the booking site. Other items of note - the bedroom almost glows at night through the shutters from the lights of the street and does need block out curtains (as previously mentioned in reviews), the ironing board was in the outside shed with no cover so was unusable, there was no iron (just a steamer which was tricky to use as you needed somewhere to hang the item that was close to a power point), the extraction fan in the bathroom only worked while you hung onto the cord, the TV was not tuned in and no instructions on how to get it to work, the supplied amenities were very basic and minimal and not in keeping with other similar properties we have stayed in, the lounge (sofa bed) was uncomfortable and the seat kept wanting to slide out, the curtains need cleaning and the light fittings need dusting. The electrics on the hot water cylinder are joined in an unsafe exposed condition in the kitchen. This apartment did not appear to have had regular inspections to help maintain the standard.

Lovely welcome from Miriam, she was excellent. Better than the photos and the best location for walking everywhere. We would definitely go back if there were more kitchen basics and curtains and double glazing in the bedroom.it is important to get a good nights sleep.

It is on a very noisy street, even though there’s no traffic…fortunately we had ear plugs which helped. There were no curtains in the bedroom so if you like a dark room it is difficult to sleep with the light from the street making it like daytime. Noise started at 5 am outside in the street. Kitchen badly equipped even for snacks, no sharp knife.
