A wonderful couple of nights

The hospitality is exceptional at this guest house. So clean, comfortable, large room and bathroom and generous with regard to in room coffee/tea etc. Perfect location for walking into the village for meals.

4 nights Wonderful stay in Fort William and surrounding Highlands

A nice looking and very well upkept guest house, near the city center (under 15 mins walk) It is also nice the house has a back yard offering parking with easy access from a one way street cornering from the main A 82 road. Amenities are great and everything is up to spec.

All is well and good about this very nice and upkept house, but its wooden floors are very noisy and at night, during quiet hours, you can hear every step of any neighbour. Even the floor heating induces some noise from the thermal expansion of the wooden boards.

Great place to stay

The location was great, close the High Street for restaurants and the train station for the Jacobite Express. Our room was large and spacious and the bed was really comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome right from the start.

This would not be a problem most of the time, but we arrived during a heat wave where it was 30C during the day. We were in the top floor with only a window set into the roof. If it was left open, the light would come streaming in from 4.15am so it needed to be shut. It was extremely hot at night despite there being a ceiling fan.

Great Highland hospitality

This place is amazing, great central location literally 5 min walk into town centre, plenty of parking. The whole building is very well maintained to a high standard. Bedroom was very clean and well presented with really nice decor. Beds were super comfy and plenty of pillows. There was a small fridge in room which was a great extra. Really enjoyed our stay.

Staff very friendly. Room very clean and comfy. Only downside was the noise; think perhaps something wrong with plumbing. Every time some used facilities the noise rumbled round our room.

Expensive for room only, but think price was reflective across all accommodation in fort William.

Pretty Good and Recommended

Clean, comfortable, good quality furnishings and bathroom etc. close to town. Easy parking.

In common with most modern buildings, noise of other guests talking, coming and going and noisy doors closing was amplified. Nothing excessive I stress. But for us older folks who go to bed early, more soundproofing and quieter door closures maybe?!

Clean and Comfy Last Minute Booking

One of the cheaper last minute options close to town centre (5 min walk to high street). Easy check in, very clean, spacious bathroom, smart TV and comfy bed. Appreciated the oat milk avaliable with the teas and coffees in the room. Plenty parking at the back of the property.

On busy road into town so traffic noise was quite loud as we were at the front of the house. We had to keep windows open as it was very warm. Maybe more noticeable for us as we had been camping the previous 2 nights. There was a fan in the room though.

A real home from home

Accommodation was excellent, the bed was so comfortable I slept so well. The staff were so helpful and friendly which made my stay in Fort William so memorable, thanks for that. Will definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic stay at MacLean House

Breakfast was not part of the booking. It was very easy to find places to eat as location is a short distance from the town and so many options. Would definitely stay again.

Fantastic location and room

We only saw the staff on arrival day but the welcome was so lovely and friendly. They made it very clear they were there if we needed them...which we didn't. They had plastic cups, cutlery, plates, bug spray, and ear plugs in the reception, which was a lovely touch. We stayed in the family room on the top floor, and it was great! Two double beds and a large bathroom with shower. They also provided fans and had a ceiling fan too. The location was fantastic and literally over the road from the train station where we had booked to go on the Jacobite!!! Highly recommend!

The only negative if have to say one is the location is on a busy road, which was a little noisy at times if the window was open at night. This was not enough to stop me wanting to return

A great stay in Fort William.

The guest house is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and close to the Main Street. Spotlessly clean… and in immaculate condition. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, and our room had a large walk in shower. We were warmly greeted by Brandi upon arrival. We were able to store our luggage there after checkout until our train time. Highly recommended!

The location is perfect, like 5-10 min walk from the city center. Within 5 min walking is the trainstation with grocery shops. The neighbours cat was super cute!

Lovely hotel highly recommend.

Lovely modern room, good layout, big bath, separate shower. Even had a fridge. Everything we needed. Helpful book with recommendations and contact numbers for taxis and restaurants. I think it has been recently revamped. Young lady on reception duty was warm, friendly and very helpful.
