Would 100% book again - lovely accommodation - great value

The Ashton Mews is a short taxi ride away from the centre of Bristol, on a quiet street with a gastro pub next door. We were extremely impressed. Lovely decor, and THE MOST comfortable beds. Perfect for our first visit to Bristol. Would definitely book again.

Decent accommodation for outer city centre

Parking permit for on street parking which there is plenty of around the accommodation. Spacious, clean, comfortable, warm. Well equipped kitchen. Good location with amenities locally (5mins walk) or only a 30mins walk into the city. Quiet and private. Modern decor. Decent shower and powerful extractor fan. Host easy to contact via text.

Shame no garden furniture to enjoy the outdoor back yard. Some minor touching up needed (e.g. rusted bathroom door handle). Complimentary milk jigger unusable as curdled. Strangle to access bathroom through shared hallway. Bathroom slight consistent smell of damp. Larger towels would be a bonus for the more fuller figured people. TV in strange position in regards to room configuration. Over all in light of these minor things would recommend and would consider staying again.

Absolute disgrace.

This place was ok until the host stole £50 out of our bank account, making up lies about the state of the room being messy, alcohol left in room and other completely false accusations. After a month of back and forth with booking.com we finally got our money back today. The host was nothing but rude whilst we were going through the process. Should not be allowed to host a property. Please dont let this happen to you! Avoid at all costs. Booking.com are looking into their conduct and hopefully have them removed.

People occupying room upstairs the night we stayed came in at midnight and were quite noisy. Otherwise everything was good and as expected.

Great value and good contact from hosts

Lovely spacious room with full cooking area. Comfortable double bed for a good nights sleep. Also added bonus of outside area. Also they issue a parking permit to allow you to stay longer in the area . Also a pleasant walk to the centre

Fantastic experience, would love to stay again if it is equally as reasonably priced.

This was a brilliant place for me and my little family to stay. Luckily, there were no other guests during our stay, so we weren’t disrupted at all.

It could feel a little safer if there was an extra lockable door at the top of the stairs.

Nice apartment.

Very clean. Easy parking. Nice apartment. If it had been a different time of year, the garden access would have been lovely.

Bathroom is outside of the apartment which meant I had to take the key with me to the bathroom. But more importantly, just as I was about to exit the bathroom having had a shower, i realised that someone was opening the front door, which is immediately opposite the bathroom door. I would have been very embarrassed had I of walked out wrapped in a towel to face a stranger. No working TV.

Apartment One

TV doesn't work Bathroom as good as shared, although a sign to tell the upstairs apartment not to use ours was used both in the.evening and early hours. You cannot leave your personal items in there and a locked door is required. Noisey, we had arrived back to sleep at approximately 1am and quietly gone to our apartment, at 3am the upstairs apartment came home talking, slamming the front door (went out again I presume to a car and back in again) we could here them for over an hour walking, talking and the bed squeaking and the noise level is very high.. Generally tired, cracked bathroom floor, TV broken, lights above mirror don't work, dark to apply makeup. Bed is very uncomfortable Too hot but radiator valve broken and cannot adjust.

Great for solo travel, easy to arrange parking outside. Facilities clean and liked there was a dressing table to get ready.

The bathroom was external to the main flat, so the people staying upstairs could also access it (they didn’t) but just not ideal when you want to shower etc and go between the flat and bathroom, as people could be in the corridor.

We will definitely stay here again in future - it’s perfect for our needs

Everything! Travelling from Lancaster, we only stayed for one night as we had personal business in Bristol (Location was perfect for this) but we didn’t manage to make use of the microwave and fridge - having table and chairs to sit at was great. Although we didn’t meet Louise or Maria personally, their electronic communication was very good. Room was lovely and warm

It was a little noisy outside at times but didn’t really bother us too much. The hot water in the shower wasn’t very warm - it appeared the button wasn’t working

Reasonable pice but we got what we paid..

The kitchen facilities are not really clean and there was some smell.. The private bathroom was not in the flat, which I did not expect. When I arrived there was a huge bug.

Lovely Place but needs Soundproofing

Well maintained little studio type flat. Great to have both single and double beds, own kitchen and bathroom. All clean. Also, we had a patio garden which was nice to sit out in (however there were no chairs) and drink a cup of tea after a long drive. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Breakfast tray for two contained: 2 x instant porridge oats; a loaf of white bread (wholemeal would be a healthier option or at least half wholemeal and half white to appeal to most tastes); 2 x muller corner yogurt, 3 x 30g cereal boxes; bottle of orange juice; 2 x croissants & pan au chocolat; 2 x bananas; packet of grapes; apples; butter; 2 small sachets of jam & marmalade. Tea, coffee and milk were provided.

I had to ask for a new washing up sponge as the one left wasn't new. Despite the breakfast being varied and plentiful, I think the cost, £15pp, is expensive considering it's not cooked and individually it would not amount to anywhere near £30 for two people. A couple of chairs in the garden would be useful. The main issue was the noise. My 14 year old daughter and I were disturbed by the people upstairs because there was no soundproofing between their floor and our ceiling. It started with their bed incessantly squeaking as they had sex. At midnight, I had to go upstairs to ask them to turn down the volume of their music as we couldn't sleep. Thankfully they obliged without objection. I think if you had a younger child this would be even more of a problem.

Comfortable stay close to Ashton Gate Stadium

The location was perfect, myself and a colleague were attending an event in the stadium. Lots of nice coffee shops and cafes within walking distance. The beds were comfortable and the shower was lovely. We didn’t have need for the dining or kitchen facilities but everything looked clean and well kept.

It was very hot and only one small fan, but I think it was unprecedentedly hot!

Excellent atay with great steakhouse next door

It was spacious, well decorated and had a good sized fridge Beside a great steakhouse too! Parking was pretty easy and only a few mins drive from Clifton

I hadn’t realised the bathroom was sort of open to the flat downstairs too (though v clearly labelled as only for upstairs rooms)

Great Stay, exceeded expectations.

Had a lovely stay at Ashton. The place is nice and modern, and has everything that you need for a stay in Bristol. We had both places within the house, so had a kitchen with oven and cooking facilities, as well as nice bathrooms, and comfy beds! Access was easy and the hosts are contactable and very helpful! Parking on the road is safe and there’s a couple of supermarkets that are close by!

Very comfortable accommodation but too far out of Bristol. Lack of communication with owners.

The accommodation was fine. Breakfast was not as expected.

Difficulty of getting into the property. No instructions given when we booked. No communication with our hosts except by telephone. Front door was difficult to open. Taxi drivers were unable to find the address. They turned up at 1 Jennings Court instead of 1 Lower Sidney Street. On the morning that we left we had to wait outside in pouring rain because the taxi had gone to the wrong address.

This is only personal reference the bathroom was in the corridor. I would have preferred it if it was separated from upstairs with a partition.
