My sheds better

Location

Everything, booked 2 nights, stayed maybe 6 hrs, then booked into the players, the place wants a serious check up, on the listing, it mentions flat screen TV, satellite channels, central heating and so on, the tv didn't even work, told the bloke in reception, he looked and said there's nothing he can do, heating didn't work, had a plug in radiator with 3 legs, tried to put the main light on, didn't work, had a clapped out table light with the cord wrapped around the stand and bare wires hanging out, not 1 electrical item was PAT tested, it needs shutting down, and to top it all off, i messaged booking.com, and heard nothing at all back from them

No towel in room or milk or clean cup in room plugs didn’t work and lamp blew the moment I plugged it in hole in the ceiling bed uncomfortable room shook when trucks came by.

Economical choice for stadium!

Tea coffee and biscuits was a lovely touch in the room. Room was tired but clean

Decrepit and dated but good location

It was located close to where I needed to be. The key gave access to the front door and room door so I could come and go as wish.

It is a very dated property. A lot of work needs to be done interiorly. The room was decrepit. The table had holes in it, the bins were dented and the place and room was not clean. The mattress was stained and dirty below the bed sheet. The room was cold and the portable heater provided made it slightly less cold.

AVOID! Do not book this place.

Absolutely everything. Its dirty, smelly and dangerous. There were empty beer bottles and a bedside drawer with no knob so just a massive screw sticking out. I asked the guy to take it out, and he just turned it around to face the wall and said "how about that?" So I just picked it up and took it out myself and he applauded me for being strong. Theres mould throughout and stains in the footwell of the shower, someone's shower gel, the hairs... The fridge had gunk in the bottom of it and didnt work so all our food we got for the next day went off. We got out of bed (cant say woke up because that would suggest I slept) to find 5 wasps in the bathroom. We had 4 of us staying, 2 adults, a 4 year old and a 11 month old and got 3 towels, 1 stained, and obviously no travel cot provided. The ironing board was sticky?! The bin ... I dont even know what was in the bottom of there, its making me heave just thinking about it! The toilet brush had crispy toilet roll baked on it. Ugh it was just vile. In the photos below, the only reason to the right of the mould is clean is because id just cleaned it with my finger. And for the money?!!! £153 for a night!?!?!

Room located close to event we were attending.

Room dirty- rubbish under bed and hairs throughout the bed. Ended up sleeping on top of quilt out of desperation due to late attendance as at event. Lots of doors slamming and noise throughout the night, felt unsafe with young child despite advertised as suitable for young families, would defo say it wasn’t.

Far too expensive for what it is. £85 for a night. The front door no longer looks like the photo. Weeds growing I front of it. Like a student house with dark narrow corridors and 2 shower rooms and toilets which need maintenance and updating. Lone female guest, I spent the whole night terrified, even though I could lock the door from the inside, people kept trying to enter by turning handle of my door. Until 1.20pm.

The room was cheap so wasn't expecting luxury. The chap who greeted me was very nice, polite and helpful. The bed had clean sheet and covers on it, and was reasonably comfortable

The property is very tatty, sitting opposite an industrial site, the shower hose had a hole in it meaning the water pressure from the shower head was low, the water was cold, the bathroom door which slides fell off and nearly hit me, the TV didn't work, I was at the room at the very top and on my way up there was a smell of either skunk weed, or cats urine, not sure which it was as they smell similar.

Basic provisions were fine. The place was reasonably clean.

Unwelcoming exterior, it looked a bit like an abandoned house. Coffee stains, Presentation of the interior needed a bit more care. Overall the value for money ratio was disappointing compared to YMCA which is a hostel and not a guest house.

For God's sake! This was the most terrible stay I have ever had in my life. So here is how the problem started. We were in Bristol, and first not planning to stay but I was so tired I said we cant drive at night. So started to look for places. Google said this place is 11 pounds. Since it was too late I called them, they said it is wrong, it is impossible to rent a room for 11 pounds ( which is not true, cuz I had discounts, and some hostels can give rooms on that price), but the man also told me check booking if it says so on google then you can book it. I checked booking.com and paid for the stay. Half an hour later the man calls me and says that the landlord cancelled the booking since it is a system fault and bla bla bla. I drove there and tried to talk sense to them. They kept saying they cancelled but i never got any notification from Booking.com They even told me to cancel it myself, but it was non-refundable booking. We talked with the guy and tried to get the room since there was no place in bristol that time (it was around midnight). First they said 40 and then 30 and then we agreed on 20. Oh, yes the guy told me they dont care about the reviews since people who stays in guest house are workers, and this place is like this for 20 years. Great customer satisfaction, don't you think? In the end, we agreed on 20 GBP. The place is terrible. Do not even think about staying there if you dont have to.

Magic mattress!

The room was clean and tidy, and the bed - though small - has a magic mattress. Laid down, out like a light. And I'm usually insomnic! Water pressure seems a bit low but that might be utility company issue.

Filthy. If you're going on a night out and stumbling in at 5am then this would be fine. If you're not drunk out if your mind - I don't see how it would be possible to get a good night's sleep here - please listen to this review and just book elsewhere.

The property needs a good renovation inside and outside, it’s ok for one night to get closer to your next day destination.. the guy was very pleasant and the beds were clean which is the main thing. The room also had a small fridge which was great.

Needs to be made more comfortable and homely if doing a longer stay, but was fine for one night.

Booked for a Spanish friend on his way back via Bristol. He advised hotels was clean but very dated.

For the UK/Bristol it was cheap and cheerful for the price. Comparing the price with Spain it wouldn't be in business.

Pleasant

One of the very few places with a family room available (5 people), thus being able to accommodate us. Ensuite. Reception still open when we arrived after 10pm after a last- minute booking. Reception staff very friendly.

Building is a bit tatty, esp carpets. Curtain were very thin and barely covered the large windows.
