Villa Gina

This villa is wonderful. We had the middle floor and first floor, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It had a balcony that had stunning views. It was beautifully decorated with many facilities. The location was superb. It was a fairly steep walk to the water front, which took 5mins, and then another 5mins to the centre. The train station was nearby which was perfect for a day trip to Milan, or Bellano. It was maybe a 7min walk to Boa Boa beach, which we did every evening. Loved our stay here. Would highly recommend the castle at the top of the town. Gorgeous views!

Remember to bring mosquito repellent spray.

Lovely studio apartment. Fabulous interior, well maintained private gardens with sitting & eating areas. Good selection of basics on arrival including coffee, olive oil & balsamic vinegar, good quality shower gel & shampoo. Amazing view across the lake, close to station. Ate at La Vista restaurant which has a good vegan selection. Staff very attentive.

On a busy road.

Loved the space, facilities were excellent, surroundings were beautiful, view wonderful.

It was a long walk uphill in the heat from the main part of town and long walk from a swim.

The host was very nice and pleasant. The location was great. The apartment was charming with beautiful views.

I understand that the air conditioning in Italy is not the same as in the US and that expectations must be tempered. However, I was under the impression that the unit was air-conditioned. The rooms upstairs are individually air-conditioned. The downstairs is not. This was not clear to me at booking / info upfront. The master bedroom AC did not cool sufficiently, it never dropped below 79 degrees (26 celcius) in the master; therefore we were unable to use or sleep in that room. The second room (kids) cooled sufficiently. The third room cooled pretty well but there was a weird smell for the duration of stay, perhaps mold or something similar. My wife would not stay in that room as a result! The AC issues as discussed are the principal reasons I did not give a higher review; aside from that, the place was awesome!
