Spectacular Lake Como

The view was absolutely stunning 😍 The ferry's over to the other islands were great, and the train ride into Verenna were amazing. I would agree with other reviews I've read...the location was brilliant with fantastic views of the lake and mountains.

Unfortunately the building work going on at Verenna Station which I understand needs to be done..just took the edge of it's peace and beauty. No fault of anyone's. Would be lovely to visit again with the building work complete.

Such a shame our stay wasnt better. The real plus point with this place is the location.

The property was quite big. Clean. Great location.

There were no basic things like salt and pepper. 1 coffee pod and a few tea bags were left. The pool had very little sun and had lots of leaves in it. There was a building site opposite. They were working all the time so it wasn’t very peaceful. The pool pump was making a lot of noise which we could hear in the apartment.

Excellent location overlooking Lake Como.

Lacked some details that makes a stay excellent like check-in instructions, door handle fell off, not enough toilet roll, not enough glasses, etc... all small but easily solved.

Great location & views, shame about the cleanliness & noise

The view was spectacular; great to have a pool which was a nice sun trap for the afternoon. Good location to get into Varenna

Unfortunately, the floor in the whole apartment had not been cleaned at all when we arrived. To be honest, it was pretty disgusting; there was hair, crisps, dust, dental floss in the living room, kitchen, bathroom. We have photos & videos on arrival, which we shared with the host. We do believe this was an oversight as everything else was very clean. The host did offer to clean the next day but as we we arrived late and only there for 3 days we cleaned the floor ourselves. The host offered a bottle of prosecco as compensation which we accepted. We came back from our trip the next day to find a mini 200ml prosecco bottle with a handful of sweets..... Furthermore, we were alerted 24 hours before we arrived that there were renovation works at the train station which is opposite the apartment and there could be some noise. In all honesty these were big redevelopment works and have been going on for some time so would have been good to know this before we booked. The noise was pretty deafening and we could not use the balcony as a result nor open the windows or doors

Excellent people and great stay.

Excellent property with excellent location. People were super nice and on top of things.

It was a HOT week and AC was not all that effective. Also, the train station is right across the street and it was shut down and 24 x 7 construction was ongoing. We were advised of the construction situation by host couple of days prior to arrival. However, there’s nothing they could do about it so don’t blame them. It’s just timing. I am sure our next visit will be even more enjoyable.

Honeymoon was ruined by having no AirCon for our whole stay and no running water the morning we left

The view from the room was lovely, but that was about it.

First of all I would like to say I have given the property enough time to resolve the solution! Me and my new husband arrived for our honeymoon and we were really looking forward to relaxing after the wedding celebrations. As soon as we arrived at the apartment it was boiling. The AirCon did not work from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, and it was 31 degrees in Varenna when we stayed and the room wasn't much cooler. It was 25 degrees in the evening and morning! I explained to Antonela about the AirCon and she tried to get it fixed, but it wasn't until 2 days later that it managed to work for one afternoon. Me and my husband struggled to sleep at night as it was so hot, so we came back to lounge by the pool and slept as we were exhausted from no sleep. The one afternoon the AirCon was working we also came back to sleep (not what you want to be doing on your honeymoon, you want to be exploring the beautiful lake)! To make matters worse after a boiling hot last night as the AirCon had broken AGAIN, there was no running water on our last morning, so we couldn't even shower before we left. I have tried to contact Oscar and Antonela multiple times asking for some sort of refund as the accommodation and the facilities were not up to standard. Oscar mentioned about a 15% discount but I haven't received this discount or heard anything since. They did not offer us any other room or option, no fan and have gone completely silent about the discount/refund! There are plenty of other accommodations around Varenna and I would suggest to go there and not this venue!! There were also train works going on at the station which is right outside the accommodation and I know nothing can be done about this but it was very noisy and made it even more difficult to relax on top of the ongoing AirCon problems. EDIT: We have now heard back from Oscar about the refund due to the inconveniences.

Varenna was a lovely town, the accommodations were just what we needed

The balcony view was amazing. It was easy to access the property. Everything was clean and updated. Bed was comfortable.

It was a bit of a walk to the town on a curvy, hilly road and steps. A little uncomfortable in the dark.

Comfortable apartment with fantastic views of the lake and mountains.

Apartment is fairly newly furnished. Very clean and comfortable. The view of the lake and mountains from the large windows and the terrace are fantastic. Connecting with the host over the phone was very easy. He was very helpful with instructions about getting to the apartment and also other information. We were met at the apartment and handed over the keys.

Studio apartment in Varenna with stunning lake views.

Great studio apartment close to Varenna Station. Offered great view of the lake and that's the premium you pay for Lake Como. Otherwise it was nice, kitchen was complete. Antonella came to greet us and let us into the apartment which was nice and was very helpful.

The swimming pool wasn't open, apparently it's not open in the month April. This wasn't communicated with us prior and it was very disappointing.

Subpar and unsafe

Convenient location

Only two of the electrical outlets work with an adapter one of these the one by the kitchen is half detached from the wall. The other one, the one by the door nearly electrocuted me when I plugged in a phone charger none of the other outlets were in use at the time. These are hazards and quite frankly I was extremely concerned about a fire risk while we slept and charged our mobiles overnight. In addition, the layout of the bathroom with the toilet directly next to the wall is completely impractical. And the tv does not work - as in no channels/reception.

The lake view was magnificent both at sunrise and sunset. Lovely having breakfast and drinks at the balcony and enjoying the beautiful views. Highly recommend.

A very nice place to stay near Varenna with the view being hard to beat.

The views from the balcony were amazing. we loved sitting out there and relaxing while looking at the mountains. everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. best of all was the host Oscar. he was very helpful in recommending restaurants and providing us with directions. with the rail closure he helped us navigate the buses and ferries and even booked us a taxi.

We couldn’t quite figure out the air conditioning, we had mild weather so it didn’t matter much. The couch in the living room was not that comfortable.

Good location

-The apartment is located a 5 minute walk away from the train station and where you get the ferry to other towns. -a good base location if you want to travel around -Wifi is good - very clean - beautiful view from the balcony -host is easy to contact and friendly

-shower wasn’t hot, it was only warm. However when I contacted the host, they tried to fix the issue (I left before it was fixed). - there aren’t too many restaurants around (need to book ahead to make sure you get a seat) - no supermarket around.

Lovely and modern property with very kind owner.

Property is very clean and modern. Oscar was extremely helpful with check in and town/ restaurant tips. Nespresso was a lovely addition. Nice walk from town, please be ready for some hills. Varenna is an absolute gem of a town with some wonderful restaurants and kind people.

My husband would have liked more than lukewarm water for his shower. Bed and pillows were mediocre.

Luxury apartment with amazing views!

The view was worth every $ spent. Our apartment (Bellagio) was spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable. The private balcony had a little table and chairs where we enjoyed a glass of wine every evening. There were guests staying in the other apartments but we barely heard or saw anyone else. It felt like our own private oasis. The apartment was obviously constructed well, very little outside noise even though it was next to the train station. We opted to pay a small fee to park our car in the garage. The small pool was clean and beautiful. We did not interact much with the hosts (nor did we want/need to) but they were easily reachable by phone, text, email.
