Camaraderie Guest House

I stayed at this guest house at the parent of an international student at the Uni of York. It is very close to campus West (5 mins in an Uber or 15 mins walk). There is a sainsburys local at the end of the street and a great little cafe. The owner Ashley greeted me upon arrival and gave me the info about the house. He was very nice and friendly. I had room 2. A nicely laid out double with a very nice, modern en-suite bathroom. The bedroom has a tv, mini fridge and microwave, kettle, cups, plates etc. An iron, ironing board and a hairdryer. There was complimentary fruit, water, juice, breakfast goods (croissant, pain au chocolat, milk, tea and coffee and jam) - all welcome after a long flight. The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows, with extra blankets if needed. The room was warm and extremely quiet which was lovely. I slept SO well there! There are amenities in the bathroom - shower gel, soap, conditioner. There is even a fridge downstairs in the hallway with mini bottles of wine, beer and snacks which you can purchase at a ver reasonable price. The guest house is located on a quiet residential street. I had no trouble getting to the Uni or the center of town in an Uber. There was also a bus stop at the end of the road (a 2 mins walk). All in all I would highly recommend this guest house. Spotlessly clean. Lovely comfy bed, everything we needed. Tea/coffee, breakfast items, fruit all provided. Owner sent detailed info before hand about parking and access and a lovely info pack in the room about attractions to visit, recommendations for places to eat and best places for a night out.

The property is in a quiet location, clean and had good facilities, plus space to park.

Nice little guest house, owner's a lovely chap, very pleasant and nicely situated for popping into York. Recommended.
