Caledonia House

Lindsay the host is very nice and helpful, the place feels like a home away from home (for people who travel often, that`s such a gem), the breakfast exceeded my expectations, everything very fresh, even berrys from the garden!

Very friendly host, really great location for train station and travel to Edinburgh, very reasonably priced.

Our room bordered onto the bathroom of the neighbouring room, separated only by a blocked off wooden door, so soundproofing not great. I would have liked a kettle in the room, but the host did offer us a hot drink on arrival.

A beautiful traditional B&B in safe and quiet surroundings. Yet perfectly connected to public transport with the train station & bus stops 3 minutes away. I had booked the single room with shared bathroom and was pleasantly surprised to find the private toilet for the room was just across the hall and was a large room with a big sink. Perfect so I just needed to use the ‘shared bathroom’ to have a shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Clutter free also. Lindsay was the perfect host. Very knowledgeable about the area she offerd great advice. Finally I need to mention the breakfast provided was extremely tasty, so much choice and there was plenty of everything.

It would’ve been nice to have a kettle in the room.

Having to share a bathroom & a basic breakfast. Would have been prepared to pay more for an en-suite and a better breakfast
