I enjoyed my stay. Clean tidy house and my room was excellent and a good size. Debbie was friendly and a lovely warm lady who actually gave me some very good advice on the morning which i was leaving and i have taken her words of wisdom back home with me and gave myself a pep talking to and from above had a chat to find peace with myself. So thanks Debbie just maybe your chat that morning with me could help save me and be of great help so I appreciate what you said as your chat with me could give me the strength and belief amazing you are. Loved the homey feel of this Scottish cottage, and even better, the warm and humorous Scottish hospitality! Debbie was so helpful, and even gave me a lift to the train station. Spotless room and facilities, and very comfortable bed. Affordable rate.

The host, Debbie was even lovelier than I could've imagined. She showed me around Dunfermline and made sure I was able to go about by my own as well. The house is clean and comfortable, microwave and fridge are available at all times. The area is very quiet and I genuinely slept the best sleep of my life here. If you're interested in seeing Dunfermline and other cities better the train station and bus stops are also nearby.

Avoid at all costs.

Terrible place, the owner constantly pressured to move into bigger room so she can be paid more. this was not beacuse she was busy, her whole place was empty but she just wanted to be paid more.

you are not allowed to entre the kitchen. she has left the water in old used plastic bottles and you are only allowed to use this water for for boiling, drinking etc. she fills these bottles from toilet tap. she made me feel so uncomfortable that even though i paid for a whole week, i was forced to leave the place within 3 days and paid more money to stay in a different hotel.

The bedroom was old fashion share bathroom being told all the time by the owner don’t shower can’t have breakfast before 8.30 am order you about for everything bad temper person very rude worse them faulty towers

It was money not well used.

Just the bathroom but she even wanted to regulate my bath time, had to skip a bath in the evening on my second day. Remember I went there for work so late nights are normal but she had issues with that. So in a sense I liked nothing about the house and would not recommend it to anyone.

She said I could not have my bath in the mornings, I think she should just keep her house for personal use and not lease it. I took the house to be closer to my work and her rules almost made me late for work. I had a bad experience there, the house looked like it shouldn't be shared with anyone. I am expecting to be refunded for the 3rd day because I had to check out on the 2nd day. Actually, I wanted to check out after the first night.

I booked very late in the evening (about 9 pm) the same day - and still got a very warm and kind welcome. The room was lovely and very comfortable. I loved it very much :-) A beautiful home and a great breakfast made me want to stay much longer. But best of all was the wonderful hostess! :-) Friendly, caring, nice and open to share great tipps which places to visit in Scotland. Thank you so very much for an amazing night and morning, hope to visit again! :-)

It was a convenient location to stop on the way from North to Edinburgh. And the price was very good. Breakfast is no longer included in the price, so we ordered it additionally: scrambled eggs and toast was for 4 pounds and the same with bacon and sausage 5 pounds. Breakfast cereals would have been even cheaper. Everything was clean and neat. Friendly old dog. Upstairs there are 3 small rooms for guests with one common bathroom to share.

As with this type of acommodation, you are at somebody's home, so there is a feeling like you are a guest of some distant relative you don't know. Hotels feel more private. But that applies to all B&Bs, not only this particular one. Our host was friendly and helpfull, no complaints about that. It's just that I'm not a B&B person.
