Honestly too many people, no priority given to the people paying to sleep there, since people from outside can also come (which is fine) but the girl organizing the events often makes people move so they can open the space for events, although many times unnecessary, and all other tables to work are occupied due to full capacity.

Wifi is generally great, but because of the weather, it can have some downtime… this is more of a Bali problem than the hotel.

It was a very pleasant stay! Comfortable hostel! Very good if you want to get some serious work done. The staff makes an effort with small events like dinners, talks to connect people.
It really is a working hostel. It's not very social and not much is happening at night. I found it a bit difficult to get in touch with people. I probably would stay here again if I'm mainly grinding but not for the social aspect. The pool is barely being used, it's very quiet. People mostly stay for themselves.

great facilities
can't bring in other food, have to order from their western menu, which is quite pricey

Clean and comfortable place with the required amenities, in an area that is extremely close to many food options and great coffee. Work area is great for productivity with great vibes and many power plugs!
The place can get quite hot in the Bali weather. There are no fans in the first floor working area which can get a bit hot and humid - furthermore, the rooms are only serviced by one air conditioner and I was sweating on a few of the nights, making it hard to sleep.

I was here working on UK hours and everything was great. WiFi speed was excellent and lots of places to work. I had a private room so switched it up working in my room in the air con and in the cowork space. It was a really nice environment, restaurant for brekkie, lunch and dinner was great and good food options. Staff all friendly and everything clean. Well located in a quieter area of Canggu but plenty of shops and restaurants and close to the beach for sunset!

Best coworking space

It’s a great balance between meeting new people, connecting and working. Go there if you want to socialize, I hope they keep attracting mostly this kind of people.
I love the events they do to connect people, they could do some more

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for somewhere relaxed and friendly where you can really get on with some work. I really liked the location, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
No complaints

The staff really took care of you. I got sick when I arrived (not from Tribal but from my previous accomodation) and the staff were able to arrange for a doctor and nurse to come and treat me, and they even helped bring food to my room when I was to dizzy to come down the stairs. Honestly the best hostel I’ve ever been to. As a solo female traveller, I felt like I was really taken care of. The guests were also great, everyone’s there to either focus on getting work done or to just relax and have a good time.
Nothing to add

Great co-working space, food is excellent and reasonably-priced and the dormitories are very nice and spacious. Perfect place if you are working and need a place where you can focus and connect. The beach is very close and there are a lot of good beginner surfing spots nearby

The place is nice, the pool is great and the dorms are well designed
The coworking site can get very busy, as it’s one of the best in the area

I really like this hostel, it's my second time at Tribal, and this time I had a good time while working. It is social but at the same time, not a party hostel, you really focus because there's a lot of people working around as well. I made some friends though, the billiard and the pool area are nice.
Very comfortable room and social area, good WiFi, good food, good coffee, nice and helpful staff!
I just think the cafe could open a bit earlier, it opens at 8, which is not a problem at all, but as an earlier bird, I am aways awake by 6am, so I had to wait for 2 hours if I wanted to get something from there. I ended up eating out in the mornings.

It is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The crowd is mature, working entrepreneurs and digital nomads. No party and mindless money wasters here. You learn so much from people here. The environment and vibe motivates you to work and build something of your own. I am coming back again.

I couldn't of asked for a better stay at Tribal. I stayed in both the private rooms and dorms and both were fantastic. So clean and modern and bathrooms were well looked after. Guests are super respectful as most people are there to work and socialise with like minded people. If it's your first or 10th time to bali and your digital nomad this is a must stay! I can't wait to return in December :D

Perfect place to spend a few days/weeks coworking in Bali. Great people and community and I love the location of Pererenan - far enough from Canggu to be quiet but near enough you never get Fomo.
This is the strictest hostel I've stayed at and it left quite a sour taste. E.g. I get the no outside food rule, but why does it need to be so strictly enforced (especially if it's something that you can't buy at Tribal); you're not allowed to finish your ice latte, or have a pack of peanuts or something! I also got told off for dead-hanging from one of the beams (which supports a few tons of building, so surely can support my 200lb), or for staying a few mins after 10PM one day (when I'd bought loads of food earlier and had been staying there 2 weeks prior). The tone is never "sorry, it's our policy" but 'you are a bad person and we gonna kick you tf out if you keep going like that'.
The food itself also gets boring and expensive really quickly. E.g. there is no steak on the menu, nor any kind of small snacks (e.g. nuts, crisps, protein bars, ice lollies etc), and gets super pricey for any amount of protein or customisation etc. I think I ended up spending $30+ on one plate! There should be a discount for residents (20%+), and even the most bare minimum facilities (plates, cutlery, basin, bin) for after hours; I have never eaten dry instant noodles until getting to Tribal!! (I asked the guy on recpetion if I could borrow a bowl and he looked at me like I was stupid).
Also more purely-social events would be great (including an organised party / night out would not hurt!). All the socials need you to sign up / buy in / endure a talk or run

Would be handy if there were washing machines available, though I found some closeby so not a big issue.

Beds are so clean and the staff are incredible
There’s quite a few times where you can miss out on a decent space to work if you haven’t set up early enough because it gets so popular.

Beds and facilities were tidy and clean, pretty new as well. I did not get to use the pool during this stay but it seems clean and well maintained. The individual beds were spacious and we have lots of storage space for each bunk. Very very happy to have female dorms and it allows me to have a complete peace of mind. There's ample space for own workouts, area was surrounded by greeneries, and the dining hall is divided into smoking and non smoking areas to respect the different audience. Food was average but won't complain much as the facilities and high speed internet was really what I was looking forward to. There's also a community and activities were pretty frequent as well, so it does give a lot of opportunities for conversations and socializing. Highly recommend for solo travelers.

Tribal Hostel – The Ultimate Digital Nomad Spot in Bali
Tribal isn’t your typical backpacker hostel — it’s more of a high-end coworking haven with hostel vibes. The design is beautiful, everything feels clean and intentional, and the energy is just right for focused work and casual networking.
You’ll find digital nomads tapping away on laptops from morning till late night. The coworking space is well set up with shared tables, private booths, comfy couches — everything you need to stay productive.
The crowd is slightly older (mostly 25–35), which was a huge plus for me. Not a party hostel — more like coffee + Canva than tequila + techno. You can socialize easily, but it’s not loud or chaotic.
Rooms are simple and clean. For the price of a bunk bed, you get access to amazing facilities and community. Honestly, the vibe is priceless.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely — especially if you're working remotely and want to be surrounded by like-minded people.
The room was really cold, and unfortunately, it took quite a bit of back-and-forth with the staff just to get an extra blanket and have the temperature adjusted. It felt a bit silly to have to "fight" for something so basic, which was disappointing given how great everything else was.

It’s very clean, the staff is constantly cleaning and keeping everything neat. Tribal is also the perfect place to work from and it’s easy to meet other people. The location is also great with the beach being so close and many restaurants and cafes nearby.

I only stayed in Tribal for a night, but it was great! I could definitely have stayed longer. The facilities are really good, the coworking space is very big and the food is delicious. The bed is comfortable and has a lot of storage, the showers are good & warm
I wish there were private rooms that are a bit more budget friendly! Now, you can choose between a dorm room (cheap) and a suite (above my budget). Would’ve loved a private room in between these options, cause in that case I would be able to stay in Tribal for weeks

The location is great, the property is so clean and the pool is lovely. Absolutely perfect place and incredible value for money!
The private rooms aren’t very soundproofed but I never got woken up in the night

- no keys for the room doors

Everything. The hostel is amazing. The aesthetic is amazing. The staff is also amazing. The work atmosphere is also amazing. Meeting others is amazing. I look forward to going back there again someday. It’s even great for long stays. I had a few bookings with them.

The property was very well designed. I liked everything about it. I liked the beautiful work area, the bunk rooms, the pool area was so beautiful to look at all day, the staff were always so beyond nice. I also absolutely love the vibe of the place. I seen this hostel on Tik Tok and felt it would inspire me in business and the work environment was so great I was able to accomplish so much! Well worth the trip to go to Tribal. I also met and made so many friends and like minded people.
The food was great, but sometimes they ran out of popular items mid day and we ate most all meals there as you are not able to bring food in.

The set up was fantastic. Great staff. Always clean. excellent pool.
No fans in the co working area and the background music was distracting whilst trying to work.

I liked how the place was clean and well run
Didn't like how you couldn't bring in outside food, what's up with that? The doors on the rooms don't lock - I didn't feel I could leave my valuables anywhere which is really annoying, and being a female solo traveller you need that feeling of safety - a simple lock on the door would fix that. The pool area was nice but needs more shade out there and places for people to sit, I noticed hardly anyone swimming and think that's why. They let way too many people in during the day to use the coworking space and the internet was always choking out... overall the place was quite sterile / had no character, very caucasian. Some art on the walls or something would cheer it up and decrease the 'prison' vibes

The facilities are quite nice. Strong reliable WiFi, with friendly staff. Great location with a million really great restaurants nearby. Easy access to scooter rentals.
Wasn’t a huge fan of the tribal wristband, got annoying after a few days. The vibe is also very work focused with a lot of people on laptops most of the day. Not exactly what I was expecting in a hostel, but they are aiming for that sort of. Your nasi goreng needs work. Blandest thing I tasted in Bali. Sorry :-(

Perfect place if you’re remote working as it is set up with plenty of space to work. The beds are super comfy and clean. There’s space to securely story your luggage with a padlock (will need to bring one with you). Bathrooms are cleaned multiple times a day. Staff are super helpful.
I would only recommend staying here if you’re remote working, as not the most social with regards to activities etc. The doors to the hostel rooms are quite noisy so if you’re a light sleeper will probably keep you up at night if people are going in and out. I would also suggest to have some private pod rooms suitable for making calls, as currently there isn’t any.

This was my first hostel experience, and it has set the standard high going forward with my travels (keeping in mind that it's a co-working space compared to a typical hostel). From the staff, facilities and especially the people I connected with during my 2 weeks at Tribal.

The location is great, staff is very friendly and the cowering area is nice too.
It was impossible to sleep in the room. The door is very stylish (like the whole) place but very very loud. In my room was a guy who was leaving and coming in every 30 mins, so I woke up all the time.

Great coworking space, food and pool. Wifi was decent too. Bed was spacious.
Sliding doors in the dorm were noisy esp if you are in any of the 4 beds next to the door.
