Good for a couple of nights, any longer and I would say inconvientent for exspenses.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean (except above the wardrobe), the bathroom was spacious and clean with towels provided, and the property was comfortably warm. It was nice —a short walk into town, with a local shop nearby and plenty of beautiful places to walk and explore. We also didn't see much of the host and had our privacy.

Even knowing it was room only, we expected at least some cutlery or plates to be provided, but we did have a tea station, which was okay, but no mini fridge to store chilled food or liquids. Having to eat out each day or order takeaway got expensive, but we were prepared for that outcome. I would say that even though the walk into town was short, it was downhill, so walking back up lost its charm after a couple of days. You definitely need your own vehicle to fully explore the nearby towns/villages, as the public transport is lacking.

Ideal Location, Great Host and overall a very positive experience.

The location was perfect. Louisa the host was warm and welcoming, we arrived early, the weather was terrible so she let us have early access (which was great) The room was very clean and I would highly recommend.

Okay but I have stayed in better places for the same price.

The property was well furnished, clean and comfortable.

-I wasn’t aware that the bathroom is shared. -There was no lock on the bedroom door which is a security issue, particularly in a shared facility. -Host was business like rather than friendly.

Wholesome stay at Starlight Cottage

Starlight Cottage is a beautiful home. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was great! It is a very close drive to the main town and very close to the Glastonbury Tor, which I highly recommend! The host is absolutely lovely, very attentive and responsive to messages and her son, who was there to let us in, was lovely also. Super happy we didn't need to go up or down stairs with my suitcase. I also appreciated the thoughtfulness of having water, tea and guidelines in the bedroom. In comparison to other accommodations I have stayed at, the price was average range. It was a lovely place to stay, thank you so much! Blessings <3

Personally, I would have liked a fan as it was very hot and the window wasn't able to allow in a breeze enough to cool us down or the room down. While I understand the rule with the bath, it would have been helpful to be able to have a magnesium bath, as travelling can be rough on the body, and I would've loved to have a soak.

Perfect solo short break

The location was perfect, room was great with more than ample storage and a comfy bed. Tea / coffee etc. provided, and everything was very clean. Louisa was really warm and welcoming, I was travelling alone but felt safe. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Ok for an overnight stay

Louisa the host was super lovely. And made us feel very welcome. The place was immaculately clean.

If you’re looking for just a bed to sleep in. This would be ideal. For me, the room was a little on the cramped side. It was sweltering hot. But there wasn’t a fan. Or much ventilation, as the window was very small. I did kind of expect a chair in the room for somewhere to sit. But there’s only a bed. Also, I didn’t like the fact that there was no lock on the door. I think this is the only place I’ve stayed in. Where this has been an issue. If you’re leaving your things there. While going out for the day. You don’t know really if the other guests staying could just walk into your room. I ended up taking my personal items out. And locking them in my car.

The room was quite small, but still comfortable. However, my sleep was disturbed by someone snoring. There should be sound proofing between the rooms.

Friendly, clean and well run, though price perhaps slightly high for size of room.

Very clean, comfortable room in pleasant house only 10 minutes walk from Glastonbury town centre. Good choice of teas and coffees. Lots of towels. Also well organised as regards access: we were easily able to come and go as we wished.

Room was very much downstairs on the side of the hill so not much natural light and no view, though this was not really a problem for us as we only used the room to sleep in.

Warm, cosy and welcoming.

Spotlessly clean, cosy, and importantly for me, beautifully warm. Very comfortable bed with soft linen and a nice selection of different teas. We had a toilet next door to our room and there was plenty of parking outside.

If you are in the downstairs room you need to go upstairs to the bathroom. However, there is a toilet next to the downstairs bedroom.

Wonderful mini break at Starlight

The location was perfect, the views and the 30 minute walk from the house to the top of the Tor, and then easy walking just 20 minutes from town to house, it's a hill walk but so worth it. The room was comfortable, warm and welcoming, big comfy bed, slept like a dream. Lots of lovely teas and Louisa provided, decaf coffee and oat milk for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay Louisa, we'll be back. Gem & Marc x

Six nights in Glastonbury

Luisa and Lucas were extremely kind and welcoming. I was given the use of a private half-bath AND a private full bath. It was a short walk to the Chalice Well and Glastonbury high street. Luisa has an amazing lounge room and outdoor patio on the same level as the room with extraordinary views of the Glastonbury landscape. I very much enjoyed the patio and the lounge.

In American parlance, the small room was in the basement, and felt a bit claustrophobic. I found the mattress uncomfortable, but that's a personal preference. Just FYI, the mattress and box spring are directly on the floor. And I wasn't aware when I booked that the property is at the top of a steep hill and even steeper stairs. If you are on foot and have any mobility issues (as I did), this might be problematic.

Amazing stay here. Easy access to the town and the Tor. Excellent host, very relaxing break. The place was easy to find, plenty of parking, really comfy room and bed. Lovely atmosphere, and very clean. Great to have the bathroom by the room and one upstairs with a shower. Really well thought out guest options.

A home out of home. Nice for a short escape

Bed super comfy, spectacular garden and lounge area. Louise was a very welcoming and friendly host, giving us tips to reach to the tor and enjoy its mystic vibrancies. Very spotless clean and warm light atmosphere all around, very lovely place. She also provided toiletries (shared, same we use at home actually), two towels per person and a spare blanket.

Would be superb to have access to kitchen for basic dishes wash and microwave maybe, although I don’t think she would have said no if we asked her. We used bathroom sink.
