The only reason for not giving five stars was the cutlery at breakfast cheap and nasty a fork that bends more than a uri geller spoon. Trying to skewer a sausage was interesting 😂 Easy fix as everything else was exceptional check in room etc

We arrived a bit early, but were welcomed in by Oliver who was very professional. We took the lift to the first floor and found our room. It was very comfortable and had a lot of space. We went out and returned to use the restaurant which had a few people in it. We had to order in the bar which was OK. In the morning there was a good choice for a buffet by breakfast. Altogether a good place to stay and a very comfortable room.

I had contacted the hotel twice before arrival to confirm a we had a room suitable for a dog, once we arrived we were told this hadn't been done and were made to wait whilst a room was made available, the room I feel was far too small for a family and dog, we had a sofa bed up against a wall for a 6ft 16 year old and couldn't walk past the end if it to get from the double adult bed to the toilet, the from was clean and staff were friendly but I feel our experience was affected by the unorganised room,

Restaurant and table service comically incompetent- main problem in the kitchen evidently staffed by someone without either skill or any notion of what the items on the menu should be. Literally the worst dinner ever experienced in a hotel and totally outside even the modest but respectable aspirations of Holiday Inn. The breakfast at least edible but also sub- standard for Holiday Inn.

Everything about this hotel was good, it was extremely clean, the bed was large, it had some nice design features in the room, it was close to a big supermarket which is handy, breakfast was included and nicely cooked, the shower was large, rooms had an ironing board and iron. A few minor negatives were that the breakfast room didn't have the large range of food I have found in some other Holiday Inn Express hotels, especially for cereals, fruit toppings, yogurts, cakes and pastries. Bottles of Ketchup and brown sauces were limited and hard to get hold of, small sachets or pump with cardboard cups (like McDonald's have) would be a better idea. Mayonnaise was left in bottles on the counter 24/7 which should be refrigerated after opening. The breakfast room filled up very quickly indicating that the room is a little small for the amount of rooms. Some of the doors in the corridors were very noisy with a loud bang when closing. Apart from that all good!
