We had an amazing stay at this beautiful château in the countryside of the Loire Valley. The host was welcoming & friendly and very informative, helping us with suggestions of restaurants and sites to see as well as some history on her home which has been in her family for 18 generations.
Having come from busy, crowded and loud Paris (which we loved as well), Château de la Giraudière was exactly what we needed next; quiet, fresh air and a small village environment. Our host and owner of this magnificant château put on delicious breakfasts every morning and we also enjoyed an amazing dinner one night. Our room was stunning as was the property including a very elegant pool and lovely terrace. We were thrilled with our stay and hope to return one day!

The property itself was absolutely beautiful, tranquil and relaxing - it was a great place to be for our honeymoon, very romantic. The sounds of nature are everywhere and there’s and easy path to wander to the edge of the property if you want to take a stroll. It was also beautifully furnished and we loved hearing about the family history.
Claudine was an incredible host, with no shortage of recommendations & assistance with reservations - as we don't speak much French. Breakfast was a lovely, traditional French breakfast complete with products from the local area. The only shame was that we were only there for one night, we would have loved to have stayed longer and we hope to return!
