Price too high for this apartment. Private bathroom on the floor but not attached to the room. Temperature not very comfortable. Location far away from the city center

Place was fine. We didn’t see laundry which was listed as an amenity but also we didn’t ask about it so maybe it was just not in the unit! Easy to the tram and city center. Not that stoked over the mystery stain that was on the mattress topper… we pulled the comforter down and the topper flipped up a bit at the same time and we saw it. At least it was not enough mystery fluid to be a fatality. Would stay again sans topper issue!

We had a fantastic stay in the heart of Brussels. The owners are incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our apartment was spacious, with a huge bathroom, and the common dining area was perfect for catching up with friends. The location is ideal for exploring the city, and while street parking is available, be aware that it’s paid during the night. Thank you very much, Johan and Ria!

The place is as described- very clean and comfortable. Be sure to communicate ahead of time with the kind host about check-in time. The butcher next door has great take-away food that makes meals very easy.

Johan is a friendly well organised host. HIs apartment is very well appointed features lots of natural Iight while at same time is private. If I plan on returning to Brussels, the first thing I wlll do is check if this apartment is available.

The staff were friendly and explained what I needed to know. The instructions for check-in were confusing however, because I thought I had to call before arriving. Turns out that I just needed to go specified address and contact Johan to go through the check-in process. The shower was a little lukewarm, but wasn't too much of a problem after turning up the room and bathroom radiators. Also be ready to pay 10EUR per night tax (Belgium thing), as well as a 100EUR deposit (which will be returned during check-out and inspection). Nearest transport is the 82 Tram line (stop is Van Zande), and to get to Brussels centre you can stop at west station or Brussels Midi (south) and change to the metro lines. You can find the pdf map files on the STIB-MIVB website (if you used the London underground maps before, shouldn't be too difficult). Also, you can the MoBIB card (like the London Oyster card) from the ticket machines themselves which is something that took me a few days to figure out (5EUR fee for new card). Thanks to J and R!

Extremely friendly reception by the owners (even if I was late, after 22.00!!). A fun "jumping back into the 70ies" feeling. BIG premises, fast internet and all at completely unbeatable price. PArk in front and leave your car there, tram is literally around the corner. J and R own a butchery in front of the street, go and get your meat and sandwiches there!! (the Martino is heavenly!). Highly recommendably when coming with friends or family (theoretically, my apartment could sleep 4 in heavenly beds!)

The apartment and kitchen were both clean and inviting. Johan offered some posters about the location and a map as well as helpful directions. A fantastic position for visiting the city. The tram ride into town was swift and easy ( line 82). They also had modern TV, with many programs. Nice pizzeria nearby, along with small supermarket (open on sundays) and a butchery.

Johan was really friendly and helpful getting us checked in and providing us with information, maps and leaflets. Gave use some real practical advise. Thankyou! Apartment was well-presented and quirky. Kitchen was clean and well-equipped (although I would have liked a mug for my morning cuppa tea!). Beds were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Great location for exploring the city. Tram stops outside the apartment and takes 30 minutes (tram then metro) to get to Grande Place. Parking arranged by Johan for €15 per day, otherwise street parking would have been expensive. Nice pizzeria nearby, along with supermarket, bakery and night shop. Would definitely return.

This was nothing like we expected based on the photos. They gave us a one bedroom very small apartment for 4 people. The bathroom and the shower were right in the middle of the apartment with no privacy. The apartment was located above a butchery and the terrible smell of raw meat and fat was everywhere. They guy blocked 100 euros off my account as insurance for the keys to the apartment! This wasn't mentioned on the website!

The hosts were very nice and accommodating. However we were slightly surprised by a couple of elements. The first was the 10 euros/night city tax that only came to our attention after we paid. The second element was the separate bathrooms that required a key to enter as opposed to being ensuite. In future, it would be good if these points were more overt.

The room was gorgeous and modern. The only strange thing was that the bathroom in my room illuminated when someone turned on the light in the adjacent bathroom. It happened about midnight and woke me up. Otherwise, this apartment was amazing. Perfect location, walkable to restaurants and public transit. Will certainly recommend and stay here again.

We were made very welcome. We received Metro maps and general advice which was great. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The apartment was cool and comfortable. Perhaps new towels and bed linen would make it more luxurious? It is situated on a noisy street but with the tram close by. Parking is not easy.

The check in and out process was very awful and unorganized. Nice room. No elevator so carried our luggage up two flights of a narrow elevator. Also far from the center. We had to wait for the son to arrive to check in and couldn’t even leave luggage to hold. The mother checked us out ...we had to take keys to their butcher shop across the street. It was a bit strange. It also was a long and peculiar checkout process. I must say the room was fitting Outside of not even a bottle of free water

Very large room, comfortable and close to the tram stop in a good neighborhood. However, you need to know that you check in at the butcher shop on the corner of VanDee St. The family was friendly and more than helpful.

Great location with transit nearby. Interior is new and contemporary. Couldn't figure out how to turn on the lights in the staircase when going down, but there are colourful LEDs that show the way. The washroom is huge and well stocked. Shared kitchen downstairs with a small backyard. Could do with one less chair in the room so we could move around easier. The only complaint is the bed. Two people sleeping on it makes them both sink to the middle. It's a very soft bed, but a bit too soft. Hosts were excellent and very helpful.

Beautiful apartment with a full kitchen and laundry. Although you do have to share the kitchen and laundry facilities with a few others staying in other rooms, it was very convienent. Other than the grocery store and bakery a 2 minute walk away, the area was quite barren. Luckily the tram stops directly in front of the building so it was accessible.

This was a last minute booking but we found a gem. Its a little way out of the city but very easy to travel to and from and Johans knowledge of the area was brilliant. Lovely room and facilities.
