Passing through on an Ireland driving tour. Port Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Not a new retro "boutique" but the real thing in good condition for its age. Great experience and excellent Staff. Walking distance to everywhere in the downtown area.

Old style hotel in centre of town so close to everything. Rooms were comfortable but not spacious. Good breakfast options with menu style rather than hot buffet. Few stairs to manage to get to room. Street parking only but we were there in late May and were never more than 50m away.

The staff were incredible and make the staff even more enjoyable. The breakfast was great and the staff for breakfast were also incredibly kind and wonderful. The walls are thin, so you can hear people walking and talking in the hallway and above you.

Fantastic staff and food and service excellent. But i feel i should have refund,as the celling was leaking water from the electric light above on the Saturday of my Valentines Break,it was totally spoilt for me and my partner.it leaked on my head and had a very strong smell of urine.we were told it came from the toilet shower room above us.should i seek legal advise to get a refund or another two night stay, of which i feel i am due,an unspoilt stay. Everything was great, these comfort notes: 1) The shower floor was very slippery. 2) The tile bath floor was even worse. 3) I had to almost beg to get a blanket. 4) No thermostat to control the room temp. 5) TV cable was awful, about 1/2 the channels not working.

We enjoyed our stay at the port. It was clean, staff was friendly, food was lovely and great location. The only thing i could say was negative was all them stairs! A lift would be perfect. i am only late 30s n was out of puff each time i got to my room, god help anyone older or with breathing problems. And in the rooms it would be perfect if there was a small fridge to keep water and refreshments cold. But overall a good hotel and we would stay again.

Reception staff were fantastic and so helpful. The room was ok and the TV showed Netflix but this did not work. Old coat hangers on the roof top over looking window not great. The breakfast was weird as you could not get additional items, even if you offered to pay for them. Plus I took a banana for my round of golf to then be informed that you are not allowed to take food items away. The breakfast was actually good but the strict rules are not great service and in an age where you can customise things, they need to think about this. Overall ok but they could do so much better.

Right in the middle of Port Rush, walkable to everything! Great location. It was a challenge to drop luggage off, and park. If you have a car be aware of this issue as you may need to park In the lot and walk to the hotel. Also there is no lift in the hotel and a lot of stairs. Breakfast was good; staff was nice. TV didn’t work; Room was clean.

Very pleased with everything about the hotel, a lot of improvements made since our last visit about 5 years ago. Room was excellent, very clean and comfortable as it had been refurbished recently. Staff were very pleasant and happy to help with a few questions we had about the area. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice to keep us going for the rest of the day

The room was fabulous! Very clean, with a large tv. If you want to get rest, whilst travelling, this is the place to go, it was so very quiet. Ideal! Good breakfast as well and very friendly.
