From the moment we arrived, our experience at this hotel was simply wonderful. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Griglia, who personally guided us to our room, showed us how everything worked, and even provided us with a map of the lake. His local tips were invaluable – he advised us to book tickets for some of the villas in advance, which allowed us to enjoy Lake Como to the fullest.
During our stay, we had lovely conversations with Mr. Griglia and learned about the fascinating history of the hotel, his family, and the surrounding area. His hospitality truly made us feel at home.
The restaurant was another highlight. We ordered the Griglia, a platter for two with a mix of all kinds of meat – and wow! It was delicious, and honestly enough for four people. Even though we couldn’t finish it, every bite was incredible. To top it off, Mr. Griglia offered us some grappa to taste, which was a delightful and very welcome surprise.
Breakfast was served in the garden, a calm and peaceful setting to start the day. I especially loved the nuts served with a nutcracker – such a charming detail that made the atmosphere even cosier.
Overall, this hotel gave us not just a place to stay, but a truly memorable experience. We are already looking forward to coming back!
