Remarkable.

This is a recently renovated establishment, clean and well kept. The interior design is contemporary but the 18th century feel of the building is preserved if not enhanced by the contrast. Every bit of the experience was curated from the modern toilets to the delicious breakfast.

I am a scribbling critter and would like to see writing desks and reading lamps. Nothing that can't be improved with moderate effort.

Sweet B&B in a cute town! We really enjoyed our stay there. The host is really welcoming and warm, their home cooked lasagne was delicious. Best we had in a while.

The best stay in Switzerland

We enjoyed a lovely little stay with Richie for four nights in B&B Chiarina in Valle Di Muggio a small, quaint and quite little town in the Ticino Region. The hospitality, warmth and reception that we have received from Richie is something we had never even experienced before in our homeland as well. I was in Mendrisio for work and happened to come across Richie's beautiful property on Booking.com and as highly as his property is spoken of already here are some of the many things that made staying with Richie truly a gratifying experience- 1) Richie was kind to pick us up from Mendrisio Stazione and drove us down to his beautiful property in Muggio Paise. 2) The property reeks of a beautiful medieval vibe, with cobbled stone flooring, Ticino paintings, wooden fire place and a spectacular view of the Ticino peaks topping it all off from the room. 3) You get to enjoy an excellent breakfast spread fresh from the Ticino Farms- Eggs, meats,cheese, breads, croissant, fruits, yoghurt, cereals, juices, coffee, and the most incredible home-made marmalade and pies baked by his wife. 4) The property is very conveniently located 2 minutes away from the Muggio Paise bus station.Richie very kindly had arranged for a Ticino Pass for us that helped us explore some beautiful places like Lugano, Locarno, Asccona, Bellinzona. 5) The property is brilliantly maintained with regular housekeeping service. Feel free to enjoy the best of swiss toffee, coffee, and chocolates at B&B Chiarina. Life does reward one with incredible encounters, and meeting Richie was nothing short of an exceptional experience of seeing grace, kindness, humility, and generosity up close.

We had a great 1 night stop over whilst driving. The room was great. It was a self check-in. We met the host in the morning, who was so friendly and kind. Breakfast was lovely. My wife had left an earing in the room, and the host very kindly ran out to find us in our car before we left without it!!

Nothing! It is a fairly remote area - just managed to get to the nearby restaurants before they closed.

Perfect stay for exploring the Valle di Muggio

Awesome loft-style room with fun clever design using block stairs and climbing ropes as walls. Staff very nice and lovely breakfast. Perfect location for hiking the Valle di Muggio.

Perfection

Loved the conversion of a modern fit-out in old building. The personal touch from the caretakers each morning was great and I loved the communal kitchen. Air conditioner was amazing! Beautiful village.

Amazing location, Superb stay!

Beautiful bed & breakfast facility, combined with its traditional and modern architecture, cozy atmosphere with very clean room and comfortable bed, in a picturesque village, extremely calm. We received clear directions with the self check-in. No delays.

A super hospitable, extremely helpful and very kind host. Mr. Rossi tried to please us in every possible way. The breakfast is authentic, with regional products, delicious, rich, including homemade jams and cakes made by the host's spouse. We greatly enjoyed our stay, perfect spot for relaxation. Very lovely indeed! We highly recommend Chiarina B&B and we look forward to be back again and again. Thank you so much Mr. Rossi for this wonderful experience!!

We are in love with this B&B. The old house with its stones and chimneys is adorable. The style and atmosphere is just wonderful. The service is so great. Everybody is so friendly and nice. The breakfast was better than at a five star hotel, cause it was made with love and regional selfmade products. And the landscape with its pittoresque architecture looks like a movie set. 😍😍😍

Silent and peaceful place.

Onorina received us with so much care, we felt like home. During the breakfast every each minute, arrived at the table a delicious homemade bread and strawberry pie, cheese from the region, a non industrial salame . It was a special night at the B&B. My daughter stayed in a sport room, very different but cozy.

Large, cozy rooms with homemade breakfast - a true hidden gem

I really loved my stay at B&B Chiarina! My room was large and cozy, with air conditioning available as well! Breakfast was also homemade, with delicious jams by Richi's wife! The surrounding area is also very relaxing and quiet, perfect for a getaway for a few days to do some hiking, especially to the nearby Mount Generoso! Really looking forward to staying at B&B Chiarina again in future, thank you Richi for the amazing stay!

i liked everything about this place , it’s pretty quite and cozy with a breathtaking view out of the window , the breakfast is more than enough to fill up your tummy and it is prepared by the owner himself using local products , and you won’t get up until he makes sure you’re satisfied :) , in addition to that the owner is very friendly and hospitable , the place makes you feel like you’re at home . i highly recommend it
