The hotel is from the 1930’s and is not super soundproof. The restaurant in the hotel is supposed to be one of the best in Clermont. I did not make a reservation in advance and I could not get into the restaurant and I was not happy about being a guest at the hotel with no access to the restaurant at night. However, it was a Saturday evening – the busy night.The view is beautiful from the hotel. A big plus is that the hotel is around the corner, a couple of blocks, walking distance, from the Royat Casino and some bistro’s in Royat. This is one of the better hotel’s in Clermont-Ferrand.
