Extremely Noisy, Poorly Managed, and Not Worth the Price

My stay at this property was deeply disappointing on multiple levels, and I would not recommend it to anyone—especially at the price charged. The sofa bed was short, unstable, and only suitable for children, not adults. The portable AC barely worked because the window seal was broken, making the room uncomfortable. The location was extremely noisy from midnight until morning, with street noise, a restaurant/bar downstairs, early-morning street cleaning, trash trucks around 5:30 am, and church bells ringing every 15 minutes throughout the night. Sleeping well was nearly impossible. Finding the property was another challenge. The address was confusing, there are multiple apartments with the same name, and no clear instructions were provided. We struggled to reach the correct location. The host (Christine) was rude and easily offended when asked for clarification. Despite informing her of our arrival time and requesting early check-in, we were left waiting outside in the cold for more than two hours before she finally allowed us in. The lift was tiny, cramped, and only went up to the 3rd floor, making it difficult to carry luggage to rooms on the 4th floor. The apartment itself was very small and basic, with no view as it is located in an alley. The toilet wasn’t very clean on arrival, and the facilities were extremely minimal—no toiletries or slippers, just a cheap shampoo/shower combo. There was no TV, no washing machine, and the curtains were so transparent that the room became bright at 5 am. Communication was inconsistent, and there was even a delay in explaining the deposit refund process. Before receiving the door code, we were asked to pay an additional tourist tax of CHF 4.50, despite already paying the full room price. Overall, the price-performance ratio is extremely poor.

Great location, great staff, clean

Close to everything. Excellent communication. Very nice staff. Place was clean and good instructions. Cozy, great amenities etc.

We booked it for 2 people and wanted 2 beds, but they had to come to give us sheets as these were not supplied for the sofabed. They came within 30 minutes, so fast service. However, they have 4 apartments in the same building and the images do not show which is what and we thought we were getting another apartment with a nice view, which we didn’t. The place was however 100% fine, but booking.com site doesn’t show the 4 distinct apartments.

Accessible - 10mins walk from the train station [3] The interior was spacious, clean and comfortable for two persons [4] Free wifi, hot water, kitchen area for cooking and near to shops / restaurants

Great location, the space met our needs and the host was quick to reply to questions and needs.

Location was great! We came in at night and was able to find it with the directions given. It was nice to be in the old town and be high enough up to also have it quiet. Everything was clean. The view was the top of building next store but we didn’t stay much in the room as we were out exploring. Lucerne was a beautiful area to explore and we took the boat over, trammed to the top of Mt Rigi and then walked down to the gondola- what a majestic experience.

The property was great. Parking was a little bit of a walk and rolling a suitcase down cobblestone streets but it’s the life of traveling to old cities. Once we figured our directions we made it work.

A nice maintained apartment in the centre of Lucern old town. I would like to stay again.

1. Prime location, right in the center of old town. 2. Fairly new renovations and well maintained apartment. 3. Room’s decoration is quite simple, but it is spacious. 4. Got almost everything you need for a kitchen, apart from a chopping board.

Can be a bit noisy at evening when someone is yelling at the street. Need a chopping board. If Check out time can extend to 12pm, it will be much better.

Very central in the heart of old town, close to shops and restaurants and main sites of attraction

Central location, spacious and clean. Great to have an elevator access and only one flight of stairs to our 4th floor apartment. Staff very prompt to reply to questions and concerns. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds.

Not value for money... very basic and rude host

Was in a good location although a walk from the train station

The property is very small and basic... the toilet wasn't clean on arrival and the host who met us was rude. For the money we paid I wouldn't return. Very basic facilities... not even a welcome bottle of water and the host didn't tell us that the supermarkets close at 5pm near by... lucky we found one much further away that was open! Wouldn't recommend ☹️

Relaxing central location and great staff

Perfect location and incredibly helpful staff.

There is potentially a huge fine if your cooking sets off the smoke alarm which triggers the fire brigade. So we were slightly afraid to use the toaster and cooker etc incase. That aside if you just want a base and eat out it really is perfect.

it was last minute got the locatation as per google reached other side of kobi and wanted to pay city tax to get passcode its was hard since i had limited internet on my phone rest all good, host was helpful she came and handed over the key in person and responded to msg immediately

Perfect location for a family break

Very comfortable beds, location was excellent, the apartment was very clean. Lovely bathroom and shower. Communication was extremely easy and hosts were very friendly

The perfect location

I love everything about it! It was clean, spacious and the location was so strategic! Checking in and checking out was easy, going to places was just down the road and it had everything that you needed for our short stay. The staff was so prompt in replying to any enquiry or questions that I had. Will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it.

We had a great time in beautiful Luzern and its surroundings, BUT expensive and lots of tourists!

Nice apartment located in the middle of old town, but still in a quiet location. The host allowed us to check out one hour later than planned, which we were grateful for.

Elevator was very small. Kitchen equipment was not the best. We missed for example a microwave oven. Apartment a bit overpriced (like most things in Luzern). Planned check out at 10 is unuasully early.

Perfect place for a small family for a small or long stay.

Perfect location. 10 mins walk to station, lake just 3-4 mins, shopping area just back side. I just wanted to store my luggage as arrived very early at Lucerene. But they were so nice and kind that they gave me room 5 hours before actual check in time. It was very clean and explained me very well everything like how they want there apartment back from me. Clean kitchen. Spacious room for two adult and 1-2 kids. Good internet. Quiet neighborhood during my stay. We were very delighted by there service and apartment. Price was really good compared to other. I recomend this.

Excellent place!

This place was incredibly clean, and the location was perfect for visiting nearby attractions. It wasn’t too noisy either. Most of all, Christine was so kind and gave detailed explanations, which made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. Highly recommended!

Lovely spacious apartment in a quiet but central location

We were a family of 3 adults staying in the one bedroom apartment so used the sofa bed. The apartment was very spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. The apartment was easy to find and location was central and very quiet at night.

Very good choice to explore Luzern

The location was superb, close to everything, the accommodation was very clean, very modern and finished to high standards.

We had studios; one had no AC and it was very hot at the time of our visit. The other one had a modest AC which made some difference. I also didn’t like the attitude of the staff that I was communicating with. I didn’t feel she was friendly’ enough’.

Very spacious for a city centre apartment.

The owners were fantastic communicators with great English. We arrived early and were able to drop off our bags which was fantastic. The accommodation is incredibly central. You come out the door and you're in the midst of all the shops. The accommodation is incredibly spacious. The hosts spoke fantastic English and warned us that we were staying the weekend of the annual Lucerne festival ( which turned out to be great luck) They provided earplugs in anticipation of the noise. When the windows were closed it was actually very quiet but the heatwave meant the windows needed to be open! They provided two large fans which made a BIG difference. There is a lift but realistically it will only fit luggage. There is salt,pepper and oil to help with cooking. The kitchenette was well equipped with an oven! The bathroom was clean and the shower had fab pressure.

Very little notes. An oven tray would have been useful though? The property will be loud if you have the windows open but you are in the heart of the city and this is inevitable.

Perfect apartment for a couple

This lovely apartment was bright, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for four nights. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of cupboard space in the bedroom. The location was amazing, in the old town, and we walked everywhere.

This wasn’t a problem for us as when we were there it was cold, but there is no air conditioning. There are plenty of windows to open up, however if you were trying to sleep there could be noise from the street.

The location of the apartment in superb and allows an easy walk to and from the train station and also to most of the sights in the town. The apartment was spotless and has everything you will need.

There was no TV - not an issue usually, but it rained a lot during our stay and it would have got some use. The sofa bed was very big, but could be more comfortable.

Great Neighborhood at a good price

Right in the heart of old town, just over a 5 minute walk from the train station. Very clean inside, comfortable bed, and full kitchen (didn’t use). The staff was great with communication and flexible with check in time. Would stay again!
