We liked the location and the open plan of the cottage.

We didn’t like the amenities. We didn’t like the beds which we very uncomfortable and squeaky! Also when stripping the bed there was a dirty dust cloth under the bottom sheet ! Stains on pillow cases and broken things in the property. It needs a lot of updating and TLC.

A cosy seaside retreat

The peaceful location. The cosy homely feel. The accommodation was very clean on arrival. The kitchen was set up perfectly for cooking with every essential item you would need. A goodie bag to welcome you and we were lucky with parking straight outside the property.

We didn't have any issues so nothing to dislike.

A great little cottage in a fab place

A little blip at the start which couldn’t be helped. The gas meter needed replacing, so the boiler wasn’t working so no heating or hot water for the first night. Jo was amazing and offered us another property once we learned the engineer to fix things weren’t coming. We’d decided to stay put as luckily our friends had a lodge we were going to in the evening anyway. We braved the overnight cold which wasn’t too bad with the blankets and lovely duvet! Was all fixed the next day. The cottage itself is gorgeous. It’s in a great position on the site with a short walk to the pub and beach. We’ve stayed in the bay quite a few times over the last 10 years and we really loved this particular cottage.

Just a shame this had happened to us but it cannot be helped. Jo was fab in communication telling us it was sorted etc.

The grass area at the back was used as a dog toilet x people did pick up muck but my grandchildren and other children loved to run around and play I was concerned about them playing there

The property was beautiful. Clean and well equipped.

Only issues were site facilities were poor. Not the owners fault. No entertainment. Only 1 bar/eaterie open n they were so busy staff couldn’t cope. Pool n gym were basic sbd not very clean and hours weren’t very convenient. Staff in there weren’t very helpful

It was a beautiful property, everything you needed was there. Nice white fluffy towels and mattresses on all beds were excellent.

Please change your bath/shower mat ! Underneath it is full of mould. Maybe as well patio furniture looking a little jaded.

Absolutely fabulous!

The cottage was cosy, beautiful and immaculate, It had everything we could possibly need. We loved the grassland at the rear and it was very quiet on a night. It was absolutely perfect and if we visit the bay again we will definitely be staying here again.

Yorkshire 2023 explorations

The house is very cosy and comfortable. It is ideal for exploring the east coast of Yorkshire. The house is spacious and we loved sitting outside. It takes 20 to 30 minutes to walk to beach.

Disappointed that on our arrival it transpired the washing machine was broken and not repaired during our stay . Beach is wide but tidal and not easily accessible for those with walking issues. There is a steep climb back up.

The property facilities were just as the pictures and descriptions given when booking our holiday..excellent..great accommodation, catered to all our needs and beyond..great to have free access to the gym and pool also, something that most places ask for small payment extra. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends..

Wasn't clear initially where the holiday pass was placed on arrival to access the gym and pool. Prices of drinks in the pub were really expensive, which did put us off, unfortunately..my 17yr old son said the amusement arcade needs a huge upgrade, with more variety of things on offer and needs extending to twice the size really for his liking😘

Facilities on the site were excellent. Property was well laid out and had everything we needed including BBQ facilities in the garden area.

The beds are a little uncomfortable. The front door seal is broken, The rear patio door frame needs a good clean as does the extractor fan hood.

Car parking was a tad difficult, although there is parking at the rear of the property there were more cars than spaces on Saturday ( which I presume is the busiest day). The site offices are close by and I used that area on a couple of occasions to park..
