Mia Casa a Cortona is a very comfortable place to stay with a spectacular view

The location is splendid. It is close to the piazzas and has a wonderful view of the hills and the valley below. The neighborhood is quiet and comfortable. The shower was spacious and a good amountof warm water. Very relaxing.

The downstairs is a bit dark and could profit by a few more lights.

Location was perfect and the rustic appeal of the place was just charming. The views from the property were absolutely breathtaking!! Hilliary was excellent with her communication and connection throughout my stay-5 gold stars to her!!!!!

A bit dusty, dear little spider nesting in the coffee/tea holder (that I didn’t have the heart to move to get to the sugar), drain hole in the shower was blocking up and was full of hair that wasn’t mine (so I cleared that out as best I could) and a few maintenance issues would improve the overall experience (e.g. removal of mould in the shower sealant). I did feel the need to clean kitchen items before I used them. The hired cleaner probably needs to give the whole place a really good regular deep clean.

We were so excited to stay in this lovely old apartment. It was just oozing with charm. We loved everything about it, location, view, lovely furnishings, and the size. We felt like we were part of the local community. Just beautiful

The perfect, calm, romantic place for two people in Cortona's best localisation. Casa mia a Cortona is an absolutely lovely, restful and cozy little house in a street that looks almost the same since the Middle Ages. Calm even if you sleep with the windows open (rare to find in narrow medieval Italian cities... this is our first and only calm stay in tuscany after 3 very noisy places in Pisa, Firenze and Siena). Still, Cortona's central mini double piazza (with its restaurants, bars, shops, grocery, bakery, the saturday morning market, tourist office and Cortona's best gelateria called Snoopy) is just a 3 minutes walk from the front door! How could an accomodation be situated better than this? We will return. What did we love most about Casa Mia A Cortona? The vast shower cabin with its massive white marble bench (YES!): Sit comfortably while showering under one of 3 showerheads with different types of water flow (soft jungle rain, pouring waterfall, common hand shower). That bench is the very best .... how could I have lived my (former) life without such an essential in my bathroom? Go there, try it, and you will realise: a shower with a marble bench IS AN ESSENTIAL. The ancient Romans knew better about this than we do today ... The stairs with their massive steps that are chisselled from yellow sandstone looks especially good from the sofa on the ground floor. It is a sturdy safety dream to walk upon. What else was the best there? So many... The view when lying on the bed looking vertically upwards into the roof, which's tiles look unequally coloured like an impressionist painting (including the illusion of the painters brush strokes, oil on canvas). There are not even two tiles with identical colour pattern: VERY romantic, VERY beautiful. Loved this more and more, the longer we stayed in Casa mia a Cortona. The spectacular views from the two small rear windows overlooking a side valley of the Valdichiana.

The only things that we "missed" were a kitchen towel, two good wine glasses and, perhaps, some sharpening for the cooking knifes (these are luxurious "complaints": there is everything that you need, plus much more, that you do not need but youwill definitely ENJOY them). There is no washing machine in the house, but the (only?) laundry in Cortona is just a 90 seconds walk away from the house (close to porta colonia) -.perfetto (Italian for: perfect!). The few windows are small letting very few daylight in, which was pleasant during the hot july 2022, but might become an issue during winter. But there even is a chimney right next to the bed: Perfetto.

A lovely historic cottage!

This little cottage is right on the old medieval city wall with fantastic views overlooking the Tuscan valley below! The location was great. We could walk to anywhere in the old town of Cortona in just a few minutes. We even hiked up to Erme le Celle, about 45 minutes uphill (and well worth the trek!) The cottage is quite charming, comfortable, clean, with lovely antique furnishings. The owner met us at the apartment to turn over keys and give us general instructions, as well as restaurant recommendations. Before, during, and after our stay, she was quick to answer any questions. The cottage is wonderful and so is the host! If you want an enchantingly memorable stay in Cortona, I highly recommend Casa Mia A Cortona.

Great stay. great value.

The owners met us and were very kind and helpful. They even came with some cherries to welcome us. The property is in a great location, very clean, very nice views, good wi-fi, a very good deal for staying in wonderful Cortona. In addition they suggested a nearby Restaurant, Osteria del Teatro that was really, but really, exceptional.

Everything was great - two small details to mention for awarness - and they are not so bad: They take only cash as payment - be aware of that, it is mentioned in Booking.com. We missed the info that they provided at booking that you have to let them know in advance if you want/need air conditioning in the room for an addition, so we did not have it. In our case (end of May 2022) this happened to be not relevant, the room was very cool at night and really enjoyable. However if someone books for the hot periods - July or August I guess - do not miss this point and request the air conditioning to be operational.

Cortona Special place

The property is lovely. The owner picked me up from the train as there were no busses that day and it’s not walkable. She charged 10 euro to do that. The place is very comfortable and clean. perfect quiet location close to the center. She was always checking in to see that I was comfortable. I would recommend this stay.
