The Quadrant - The Carillon Suite

The facility overall was excellent. Modern two story, with kitchen and a private balcony which we are always fans of. Location was only a few min walk to center of town. Parking was included (just took us a few min to figure out where it was)

The only downside to the facility was its lack of AC. It was a very hot time of year and no AC was a bit rough. There were multiple fans which we moved all into the bedroom and had to open everything well into the night

The location was great, close to everything we wanted to see and do but set back and quiet. The beds were really comfy and the whole apartment was very clean. The view from the balcony was great too.

The location is brilliant! It’s just a short walk to everything. If you’re here on a Sunday, be prepared to enjoy the Minster bells frequently through the day. We loved the sound of the bells. The apartment is spread over two floors- bedrooms and bathrooms are downstairs, and the living-dining area is upstairs., so it’s quite spacious. The master bedroom has a proper king sized bed. Lots of hot water, good strong wifi and very clean. Great place for a short stay.

The curtains could be better - no proper black out curtains. Directions on the washing machine seem to be missing.

The accommodation was immaculately clean. The location was superb for exploring central York & in easy walking distance from the train station. We enjoyed being able to sit outside on the balconies. The view of the minster was great. The building has a handy lift. The staff were polite & helpful on the phone , & quick to respond in person when a problem arose with the ensuite. The kitchen was well equipped.

There is little drawer space even though there is room for chests of drawers in the bedrooms. We had to live out of our cases. We were disappointed that the TV did not show terrestrial channels. Not everyone has Prime, Netflix, etc. The ensuite flooded as the water from the shower was not draining quickly enough. Luckily, there are 2 showers, so we just both used the same one. However, we must add that the staff were very quick in bringing fresh towels as our first batch was soaked mopping up the ensuite.
