Fifth Quarter Apartment with Free Parking

Right next to the City walls. easy parking and easy to walk into the centre of York. Great kitchen if needed.

The location was excellent for visiting York. The apartment was peaceful and private. Although the front windows were secondary glazing there was an electric fan which helped. The rooms were nicely decorated and furnished, the sofa was comfy - although we didn't use the sofa bed, and the beds were very comfy.

The air vent in the bathroom was not working and apart from that, there wasn't anything we disliked.

Unfortunately no complimentary soap, shampoo or conditioner. Wouldn’t have been a problem but we are international travellers and our luggage was delayed. We were told to go to the supermarket across the road so inconvenient when you are tired and weary and about to get into the shower. The hand soap dispenser was only 1/3 full and had obviously been watered down as only water came out. Seemed miserly for the price of the accommodation. We used the oven which smelt and we had to open two windows to get rid of the foul smell. Oven trays also dirty. We also needed to use the washing machine to wash what few items we had only to find the detergent dispenser was black with mildew and mould. Would suggest this would be a health concern and should be checked as a priority. Location was very close which would be mostly what this accommodation is offering and not the extras.
