Great
Good central location. Staff were also really helpful and helped book transfers back to Rio. The rooms (floors and bathroom) were swept daily. Communal areas and kitchen were also cleaned daily. Kitchen oven didn’t work but the place did have an air fryer to make up for it. If you’re an animal lover, the hostel has plenty of cats and a dog for you to pet
The kitchen doors were locked at 10. I understand that cooking was not allowed but the kitchen was the only place with a water filter which meant you couldn’t fill up your water bottle if you were coming back from a night out

Very good
The staff were very very friendly and helpful as soon as we arrived. The hostel was very clean and had a good chill area.
The only issue we had was the comfort of the beds as the mattresses was quite thin.

Great staff, clean kitchen and rooms, hot water, lovely cats, nice seating areas
Smoking area a bit too close to the dorm doors. More of an issue when it rains and the smoke and smell is trapped. Maybe provide umbrellas for smokers to smoke beyond the hostel gate? Would be fun to have social activities.

No lock on main room door, definitely needs curtains on beds , no bed light for reading or a bit off privacy. Lights in landing area need to be dimmed at night as guest who enter late evening the room lights up like an airport runway.

Extremely friendly staff! Great strong coffee! Beautiful common area with great music! Very clean! Kitchen has everything you need! I like that the bottom bed was high enough to sit comfortably. I would have definitely extended if they would not close down for general improvement (which again shows how much they care about giving the guest a great stay) :) loved it here!

Lovely hostel with amazing staff!
The hostel is quite big, having multiple dorms on the second floor. It has an outdoor area with roofs, and a kitchen, which were always available to sit, work, or chat with other guests, although not being overly spacious. There are power plugs available for every bed, as well as plenty of them in the communal areas. The receptionists (especially David) were so nice, and polite, always being available, and helpful. You can also book boat tours at the reception. The location is great, you reach the town center in 3 minutes and the nearest beach in 5 minutes. The kitchen, rooms, and communal areas have everything one needs. Towels are available for rent.
Notice that there can be power cuts, which seem to be quite frequent on the island. There was no electricity for at least 6 hours during my stay, so I recommend taking that into account. The beds are a bit hard, as the mattresses are thin.

The staff was super friendly!!
No individual lights for the beds, no mirror in the room, nowhere to put your water bottle/ book/ medicine if you are on the top bunker, all towels the same color (so they get mixed up in the room), not enough storage per person in the room, no hair dryer nor umbrella in the hostel to borrow. Plus I paid 50 reais more in a day tour then the rest of the people on my boat because I bought it in the hostel reception.
