Amazing stay in Provence

A stunning property but sadly, not adults only as advertised

Le Mas Josephine is in a beautiful location, just 5 mins drive from Saint Remy. The pool, with the view of the mountains is stunning. We booked the garden room, which was the only room with direct access to the pool, providing beautiful views of the outside area and mountains from our lovely room, which was also spotless. Our host provided lots of suggestions and even packed our breakfast into a picnic basket when we needed to leave early one morning. Drinks from the communal fridge are also well-priced (if not overly cold) and it was fun being able to play boule in the garden area.

One big reason for choosing this property was that it was adults only, and for the duration of our 4-night stay it wasn’t, which was disappointing. We asked about this at the end of our stay and were told they were family members and that this was an exceptional situation. Apparently other guests had asked about this the previous week. Having a family with 2 young kids stay in a property that advertises itself as adults only for this duration doesn’t feel exceptional. At a minimum, it could have been managed differently to reduce the impact and the family didn’t appear to make much effort to minimise their noise. Sadly, it wasn’t quite the restful and quiet stay we thought we had paid for.

Wonderful stay in the heart of the Provence, highly recommendable !

Le Mas Joséphine is located on a walking distance from Saint Remy de Provence, but just enough far away outside of the city to have a very relaxing stay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. There is a large swimming pool and lots of space to relax. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean and breakfast is very good.

Maybe fresh orange juice would make it perfect, but that is really the only less positive remark.

Comfortable stay with amazing views

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Mas Joséphine. The house itself is beautiful, with stunning gardens and a lovely pool area that made relaxing a real pleasure. And the views—absolutely breathtaking! We stayed in a double room with a garden view and were very happy with both the comfort and layout. The bathroom was a good size, and we appreciated the small corridor between the bedroom and bathroom, which provided useful space for hanging clothes and storing luggage. Breakfast was another highlight—generous and delicious. Each morning we enjoyed a great spread including a variety of teas and coffees, juice, yogurt, fruit, croissants, bread and eggs. It really set us up for the day. The hosts were warm, attentive, and helpful, while also being discreet and respectful of guests’ privacy—striking just the right balance. The location is also excellent—just outside the charming town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (well worth exploring), with easy access to nearby villages and local attractions.

Le Mas Joséphine is advertised as "Adults Only," which was a key factor in our decision to book. However, during our stay, a family with two young children was also accommodated. On one occasion, the father played loudly with one of the children in the pool, which disrupted the otherwise calm and peaceful atmosphere and didn’t align with the expectations we had for a child-free environment.

We have traveled for many years and all round this is possibly the best B&B we have stayed in.

Arielle and Bruno are impeccable hosts-welcoming,warm,attentive to your needs and extremely helpful.The property is conveniently located in relation to Saint Remy and neighbouring villages,incredibly clean and offers comfortable French charm.The breakfast is superb-fresh ingredients and an abundance of choice.The super inviting swimming pool is adjacent to a small olive grove and is an ideal larea to relax in.

Beautiful farmhouse with tasteful decoration and great facilities, with lovely hosts.

Excellent location - quite on the edge of town (25 minute walk to centre) of St REMY. Wonderful hosts who looked after us, provided a delicious breakfast, and lots of local information.

Quintessentially Provençal!

We loved everything about our vacation here: the spacious room, the view, the delicious breakfast (Bruno's eggs are the best!), the covered porch (complete with refrigerator, picnic table/supplies, and a view of the mountains), and Arielle and Bruno's warm hospitality. We hope to return!

Great relaxing time, super friendly and hospitable host. Big rooms, beautiful house and property. The couple were always ready to provide us with tips and booked our restaurants for us. Definitely recommend this place if in Provence and looking forward to going back to this place again.

Nous avons adoré cet endroit! Le cadre est magnifique et très calme, idéal pour se ressourcer. Nos hôtes étaient d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle, très accueillants. Arielle e Bruno sono degli ottimi padroni di casa, disponibili ed allo stesso tempo discreti. La struttura è curata nei minimi dettagli, tutto è perfetto, il giardino, le piante, la piscina! La camera ampia, ben arredata e pulitissima! Colazione ottima preparata in giardino con tavola apparecchiata in maniera impeccabile. Complimenti a voi, avete superato le nostre aspettative. Fantastisch!!

De gastvrijheid van de eigenaren, zo aardig. Het ruime appartement, van alle gemakken voorzien (wasmachine, volledig ingerichte keuken, etc). Iedere dag nieuwe handdoeken en zeer schoon). Heerlijk zwembad, ruime tuin, je kunt je prima afzonderen en ligbedden (zon en schaduw). Daarnaast het ontbijt heerlijk en uitgebreid. Her hele huis, accomodatie en tuin is tot in de puntjes afgewerkt met een Provençaalse uitstraling, terwijl het pas circa 5 jaar oud is, echt prachtig je krijgt niet het idee dat je in een nieuw huis verblijft, maar de Provençaalse charme.

Wandeling naar het dorp, maar als je een fikse wandeling houdt is het geen probleem, beetje saaie wandeling ( circa 25 min.). De eigenaar heeft ons zelfs een keer weggebracht, zo ontzettend aardig!

Un magnifique mas de grande qualité avec une piscine dingue!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans ce mas. Tout est de très bonne qualité et soigné! C’est la plus belle piscine dans laquelle j’ai eu la chance d’aller. Elle est magnifique et immense. Le lieu est calme, les hôtes charmants et le jardin superbe. Le terrain de pétanque est aussi top! Il y a des assiettes et couverts à disposition dans la salle commune qui peuvent être utilisés pour de petits lunchs improvisés. Le petit déjeuner pris à l’extérieur est très joli, généreux et bon! Le parking est à disposition et gratuit. Il est aussi possible de marcher à St-Remy en environ 20 minutes! Les chambres sont très propres et modernes! Nous reviendrons !

Très bon accueil par des propriétaires sympathiques et disponibles , des chambres spacieuses avec air conditionné et des SDB très bien équipées , des petits déjeuners copieux avec une grande variété de choix , au bord d'une très belle piscine, le tout dans un cadre superbe avec vue sur les Alpilles . Si vous venez en voiture électrique il y a la possibilité de recharger sur place .

Een prachtige nieuwe mas in St. Rémy, hele mooie, ruime en geweldig ingerichte luxe kamers van alle comfort voorzien. Een hartelijk ontvangst en super lieve gastvrouw en heer. Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt, niks is teveel in de mooie eetkamer of buiten op het terras. Een prachtig aangelegde tuin met een fantastisch mooi zwembad met ligbedden, alles even mooi! Ein Ort zum Entspannen am Rande von St. Remy

Wir haben einige Tage in dieser wunderbar gelegenen Unterkunft verbracht. Bei Temperaturen weit über 30 Grad konnten wir den Pool genießen und dank Klimaanlage auch gut schlafen. Der herzliche Empfang und das wunderbare Frühstück im gepflegten Garten haben uns sehr gefallen. St. Remy ist in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Wir werden gern wiederkommen.

Perfekte Ausgangslage für die Provene in wunderschöner Location

Das Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt, wir hatten ein wunderschönes Zimmer, der Pool und der Garten sind ebenfalls sehr schön. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet. Arielle ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, ihre Restauranttipps haben uns nicht enttäuscht und sie hat sich auch gleich um die Reservierung gekümmert. Man ist etwas ausserhalb von Saint Remy, aber nur 5 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Das Parken auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz La Liberation war aber - bis auf an Markttagen - immer unproblematisch.

Sowohl die Räumlichkeiten, als auch das Aussengelände inkl. dem fantastischen Pool sind in einem professionellen Zustand und alles ist top gepflegt. Sehr geschmackvoll und stilsicher hergerichteter alter Hof mit schöner Atmosphäre, kleiner Garten mit kleinem Pool. Hervorragendes Frühstück mit erlesenes Köstlichkeiten wie Käse, selbstgemachten Crêpes und frischen Erdbeeren.
