Beautiful,comfortable hotel right in the centre of Saint Remy.

Lovely old-school charm and wonderful staff.

Nothing really. The private parking was a five minute walk away but that is unavoidable in Saint Remy and was no worse than using public parking.

This hotel is gorgeous, the interior and exterior design is so french in every aspect, having a garden to sit in was a bonus. The location in the centre of St Remy de Provence is perfect. The staff were very helpful.

I used a cushion as a pillow as the I found the pillows quite hard.

Hotel Gonoud is a quaint and charming botique hotel. The location is fantastic and makes everything in town accessible. The staff was very gracious and was always willing to help us any with any services we might need. The location is also very accessible to other towns in Provence and is a beautiful home base to travel from

It seemed as though the hotel made many new renovations that are very beautiful such as the sitting/dinning room. Also, our bathroom was gorgous and huge. Yet, the finishings in our bedroom although very clean, were tired.

Fabulous!

The location in the Marais was awesome. Away from the more touristy area but easy to get to everything. The hotel was spotless and beautiful! Staff was welcoming and helpful. We will definitely recommend it and hope to come back again.

Probably the worst energy and hotel ever! If you are fan of scary movies go ahead.

Location is fine in the centre of the Village. The pool and outdoor area are nice, but there was no heating in the pool. The garden area is hidden behind the entrance so not visible at the first glance.

Room was similar to a scary movie scene with terrible humidity smell all over the place. The walls are thin as a paper so I could hear all night what was going on outside. The design of the walls is terrible with such lack of good taste. The energy overall of the place was bad and dark. Although it was end of October it had nothing to do with Halloween decoration - it is their normal style. The bed we had was metal like in brothel. There is no coffee in the room, just two bottles of water. We did not had breakfast but we were sitting in the lobby and had coffee and they charged us without telling us! The girl from reception was arguing with my husband and at the end she made a fool of him. We were shocked.

Like all hotels all over the world there should be FREE coffee and tea available. If not in the rooms, at a coffee station. Sitting at the bar after a heavy day of sightseeing, some small snacks if people wanted to enjoy the ambiance of the hotel without going out for dinner.

Clean, comfortable room, very friendly staff, great location.

We had booked a 10 m² room, so we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and comfortable it actually was. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, even recommending places to visit and things to do nearby. Breakfast was excellent, the atmosphere both inside the hotel and in the garden was lovely, and the pool was clean and well maintained. The location is perfect – right in the city center, so everything is within walking distance.

Breakfast could be improved with warm eggs and more healthy choices with cut up fresh fruit and berries. Also the coffee machine should be available all day.

Magical experience in Provence

Everything. The entry into the hotel is just charming and then it just builds from there. The outdoor gardens are meticulously maintained. It really feels like Provence. Beautiful building, trees, just wow. The pool was just magnificent, truly awesome. Service was exceptional and the mojitos yummy. I would return in a heartbeat. Great location too. Such a memorable stay.

The only reason I didn’t give a 10 is because there is no tea//coffee/cups in the room, which is a standard expectation these days in my opinion.

Superb French Hotel

The building, gardens and furnishings were elegant and had beautiful french style. All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast in the beautiful dining room was a great way to start the day. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was fantastic. We loved everything and would love to come back.

Everything! The perfect location right on the corner of the town square - just moments to all restaurants, bars and attractions. Gorgeous decor in keeping with the operatic history of the hotel. Spacious room with a beautiful little terrace. Super comfy bed. Honestly perfect!

Magnificent!

Le Petit Dejeuner was fantastic! So many choices; well worth the money! Everything was parfait! What a beautiful hotel with so much detail in the decoration. The staff was first class all the way. Would highly recommend.

Handsome property in the very center of the town. Friendly and caring staff. Stylish decoration. Lovely sitting patio.

They really could upgrade their breakfast which is a bit generic. Seating in the breakfast room is awkward with tables too low. "Nearby" parking is about 4 blocks away. Probably can't be helped in a very densely built up town. Towels could be thicker. Quite a few stairs. BEdroom a bit small.

short stay in Hôtel Gounod:)

The stay was very short but nice. We came at late hour, warm welcome, the personal booked a table for the dinner in one of the reccomended restaurant with our request. Sublime interior , like "Alisa in Wonderlan "Everything was good,even we had a chance, due to generousity of the host to swimm in swiming pool after working hours. One detail room was quite small, but the bed very comfortable and clean . Location is very good , central, we had free parking load.

Not a major negative, but a good few stairs. If you have a few bags be prepared for a leg workout , however stairs are good for your health. Apart from that no complaints at all, so deal with it. Lovely staff also 👍🏻

Location with parking was great

The weather! Ha ha. Wish we could have enjoyed the courtyard and pool. The breakfast was ok. Would have preferred fresh yogurt with nuts, fruits, etc.

very poor experience in a hotel with lots of pseudo glamour but lacking basic necessities for a pleasant stay

It was located in the center

Our room was facing a very busy street. In the morning a truck parked on the side of the hotel with his engine turned on, which woke us up at 5am. Bathroom was without doors or curtain so it was uncomfortable because of the lights and sounds if the other person wanted to sleep. Also, there was a smell from the bathroom pipes and toilet so since the ventilation was not working we had to open windows facing very busy street - very unpleasant.
